Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent stay in newly renovated 2 room suite. The room was clean. Friendly staff, good breakfast, easy access to hwy 80 and quiet. Would definitely stay again. There is a Chili's across the parking lot, and lots of shops within a 5 minute drive.

The building smells nice once you enter it. Comfortable bed and clean room. But the room and bathroom is too small. I wasnt able to use the kitchen. Didn't need it. All I care is to sleep in a good bed. I wish they reposition the placement of the TV

Biggest issue is with check-in. Mobile app prompted me to check-in two days prior to arrival (which I did), and said mobile key would be provided before arrival (did not allow room selection like Hilton). On arrival, app said mobile key not available so had to go to the front desk. Clerk acknowledged mobile app was faulty. Had to show ID and the credit card used for the booking, and then had to insert the card in the POS device because they don’t have a reader equipped with tap. What s huge PITA and not what I want to do at 11 pm. Room itself was very small, even though these are ‘suites.’ Weird closet arrangement. Floors are not soundproof and there was a very loud, heavy walker in the room above so you can hear every step. Breakfast area is small and crowded. Offerings are limited (yes, they do have reconstituted scrambled eggs and watered down OJ). Only one toaster and it only works on one side so be prepared for a wait. Best of all, this ‘experience’ can be yours for a mere $300/night, which is about double what it is really worth.

Whitney, Flor, and Alec were amazing to work with. We needed around 70+ rooms for a corporate event and the numbers kept changing and not once did that seem like an inconvenience to them! They were so welcoming and accommodating. We had a couple of unexpected people show up and it was no problem they were ready. They whole team loved their stay and their breakfast! They were very organized, they sent us individual confirmation numbers for every person, they billed us efficiently and were just a pleasure to work with.

I recently stayed at Townplace Suites and was really impressed with the overall experience. Mr. Morales, the assistant General Manager was warm and helpful as well as professional and knowledgeable. Lillianna helped get me checked in, and together they made the whole process a breeze. The hotel was quiet and clean, but my interactions with staff are what really made the experience. Traveling for work, keeping odd ours and being away from family can be difficult. I am appreciative that my experience at Townplace Suites was so positive.

After sixteen years as a flight attendant, (traveling domestically and internationally, and staying in hundreds of different hotels), I would, now, always rather stay home, than spend another night in a hotel room. However, this last stay was almost unavoidable. Luckily, I found the "TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sacramento Roseville," which allowed me to live a little more "normally" than my usual hotel stay, with the adequately appointed "kitchenette" providing that little bit extra "hominess" for my three day stay. Right from the start, I wanted a room change from the initial one that was given me, to take advantage of a "sunnier" view. The front desk person, (whose name now eludes me, because I'm a bit tardy in getting to this review, some five week or so after my stay), accommodated me without hesitation. She was quite friendly, informative, (as I had many questions for her about the hotel and the surrounding area), in the few hours of my stay), and "professional." Something I know a lot about, having been in the "service" business myself, with my job rendering me as somewhat as a "professional hotel guest.) Not only was this "front desk" person great at her job, but so was every other front desk and hotel staff person that I interacted with during my stay. During one of those initial interactions at the front desk, I had the opportunity to meet and introduce myself to the only "manager" on site, "Assistant General manager," Jorge Morales. He was also very friendly, personable, accommodating. and professional, and even had the cooking duties for the one buffet breakfast that I went to. (He was great at that, too!) Aside from the other employees' specific attributes and qualities, it was obvious to me that Mr Morales "set the tone" for the rest of his workforce, with his attitude, demeanor, and work effort. It's that kind of "managing/leadership" that makes the difference foe many businesses, especially in the "hospitality" business! Additionally, the room and amenities were spotlessly clean, up to date, in good working order, and actually quite comfortable. (The bathroom was so clean, that I actually "bathed" in the "bathtub" each night. And, that's something I very rarely would do in a hotel room.) So, with a clear conscience and an unsolicited "perspective," I can heartily recommend staying at the "TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sacramento Roseville," for anyone who wants a great stay, at a reasonable price. And, a big SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU to Mr Jorge Morales, and his staff!

I stay at Towneplace Suites a lot, and this one is among the lower end ones. Sloppy building design, sloppy housekeeping, and unprofessional staff. There was no vent in my bathroom. There was a vent cover on the ceiling, but no switch for a vent, and no automatic ventilation going on. Despite the absence of ventilation, I smelled weed quite strongly in my room at about 6 in the morning. As usual with the lower end Towneplace Suites locations, the fridge is not "full size", and the appliances - particularly the dishwasher, in this case - are junk. No remote for the living room TV. Thermostat on the bedroom mini-split went up to 90, but only heated up to about 78. Guests can make themselves at home with the Elfa closet, with doors that open almost to about a 60 degree angle, right into the side of the bed - making a loud thud each time, for anyone who’s used to opening regular doors. That loud thud surely travels through the floor. All arriving guests are also subjected to one person's taste in music, as this Towneplace Suites location is playing music both inside and outside of their lobby. Completely inappropriate. I chatted with the front desk twice during my stay. The first time, I didn't even get a response. The second time, I got a sloppy and wildly unprofessional response that looked like it came from a teenager. Staff communication/professionalism is one of the most impactful things to a hotel stay, in my opinion. It can make or break the feeling of welcomeness.

We stayed here for a week and had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The beds were what expected from a Marriott, never had a problem sleeping. All staff we came into contact with were friendly and polite. Everyone at the front desk were great and provided everything we requested. The only issues were the breakfast on some days was very limited in choices and the rooms could use a little updating. But again, what was important to us was the comfortable stay.

The staff was really friendly, let me check in early, and was great. Breakfast was hot, and the woman there was great. The rooms were clean also. That's all I need, a clean room and breakfast in te morning, the smiling people were a good perk.

The biggest negative in the TownPlace Suites is that the bathroom does not have a fan… That’s right, everyone you’re staying with gets to waft in the smell of your #2. This also means that bathroom mirror is unusable for at least 20 minutes after a shower. The beds are pretty uncomfortable and my back started hurting after the second night. The towels are small and rough. The furniture is mismatched, worn out, and stained. I won’t be letting others book hotels for me in the future as this one isn’t up to my standards.
