I traveled with 2 of my grandsons to visit family in Pollock Pines and stayed at the Westhaven because the price was much lower than the Best Western. The owner was very nice and honored my AAA discount. After getting our PJs on, one of my grandsons announced he was hungry. We went to the office to see if they... More

We were their with our two dogs for an overnighter. The room was clean and spacious but the carpets were a bit disgusting but keep in mind I was in a room that allowed dogs. We were there in late December 2012 and it took a long time for the heater to get to comfortable temperature but in all fairness,... More

We were in Pollock Pines to visit family, and needed a clean and convenient place to stay. Westhaven is family-run, exceedingly clean and we were surprised that our room was so large. It's nice to be able to spread out and not feel cramped. This was a pretty run-of-the-mill hotel room except that it was REALLY clean and it was... More

We found this place after first checking with the Best Western a mile down the road, something about paying 129.00 plus tax for 10 hours just didn't appeal to me. (I didn't even pay 100.00 for a night on the 43rd floor of The Shearton in New Orleans during Mari Gras) The place seemed clean from the outside, the gentlemen... More

To begin with: don't book your room here thru Travelocity.com...total rip-off...the price of Rm. 168(2 queen beds, kitchenette, covered patio, 2nd floor) was $67.00 per night(2 nights)...Travelocity gouged out another $20 per night just to do the booking(legallized extortion)...typical Middle Eastern hospitality...room was clean enough but, had a strong and mildly offensive odor(some sort of carpet cleaner detergent?) There are 2... More

We were heading up for a day of snowboarding and this place was in a great convenient location on the way to Sierra at Tahoe. The place was clean and quiet, room was large and comfortable. It had a nice flat screen TV and a nice bathtub. What else do you need for the night?

Did a one night stay when we decided to not return home as originally planned. This motel is a little bit further from the Apple Hill area then we planned on, but distance was not critical. The property only offers two rooms with one King Bed, the entire balance of the property are two queen beds. I would give this... More

Looks like instead of enjoying the large comfortable room and bed with clean linen on bed and bathroom along with clean carpet, the guest was more interested in peep holes on doors and on walls. All main room doors are having peep holes except on bathroom doors ( if he is referring to that door). It is always better that... More

This was a very nice place. Most of these little inexpensive hotels are really geared just for the summer and are not good during the winter. But this place is an exception. I booked on line and typed in my reuest to have the room heated up before we got there, and they mentioned to me at the desk that... More

My husband and I are retirees who have lived in Pollock Pines since 1996. Because our home is small, we have occasionally stayed at the Westhaven Inn so that visiting friends or family members could occupy our single bedroom. Conversely, our guests have sometimes stayed at the Inn rather than "bump" us from home. Everyone we know who has stayed... More

We stayed here for one night during a short weekend ski trip. We expected it will be very basic accomondation. It would be a fine stay if the room temperature was not below 50 when walked into the room. The room we stayed is well kept up. The room is much bigger than most hotel rooms, it has two Q... More
