Our first family camping trip was great... only because we were all together. Because of the need for electricity, we chose Bear River Campground. The pictures depicted a peaceful and clean campground. The scenery is beautiful! When we arrived, checking in was easy because one of our family members had already checked everyone in. But, since there was no phone... More

To start... it it beautiful. But the people running the resort have decided to set up rules for camping i.e: 10pm quiet time... then let a frat party happen on Friday night until the party gave up at 2ish in the morning, took the complaints, didn't investigate....and then let the frat party escalate to mayhem on Saturday night until again... We have gone camping here twice and both times we really had a good time. It's great for kids, and dogs. Our dogs love to swim in the lake, and by sunset they were passed out in the back of my 4Runner. There's fishing, store on site - less than an hour drive to Tahoe. Our 1st year, the water... More

I camped at Bear River years ago, when my kids were little and always had a great time. I returned this past week after 12 years no longer with the kids and tents but a small popup and had an incredible time. Just decided my newly retired husband and I needed a hobby so we entered the store without any... More

Listen, this campground is noisy, atv's, dirt bikes rolling though the trails past our campsite all day and night... but it felt like one big party and we really enjoyed ourselves! Kids playing hide and seek in the evening, flashlights everywhere, screaming teenagers having a blast with their family and friends. Campfires, eating, drinkin, smokin, and having a ton of... More

How can I put it in proper words how awful this place actually is... We rented the "cabin" let me be clear here this is a single wide dumpy, dirty, rat infested trailer, propane leaking, no hot water trailer! The staff acts as though we are staying at the Ritz Carlton and treat their guest as lower class citizens, verbally... More

We had planned a family and friend trip this last weekend and found Bear River Lake Resort online. Needless to say the pictures look a lot better than the actual campsites. First off the map online makes it seem like the campsites are big enough for a couple of tents. No, they are small and on a hill. In addition,... More

I've been going to Bear River Lake Resort for 20 years and my experience this past summer was so AWEFUL I had no choice but to tell everyone I can not to ever stay here. We rented the mobile homes "luxury camping" is what we used to call it. One of the decks collapsed while our friend was on it... More

My wife and I have been coming here for the last 6 years. We have allways had a great time. We do have quads and this place is so quite compared to any other campground that allows quads. No motorcycles are allowed which really helps keep it quite. There seems to be a 50-50 as far as tents and motor... More

Friends of ours kept telling us what a great spot this was. We are all sailors. The lake is pretty good for small sailboats. Since we also have a very large travel trailer 31' we decided to take a drive up and see what the campground looked like, as far as our manuvering our trailer there. The website made the... More
