I stayed at Desert Sun in December for the first time in awhile and it is just as beautiful and lush as ever. The pools, good restaurant, and gorgeous grounds make it a nice place for a naturism vacation and that's why I go back every time. I especially love all the paths winding through the resort so that I... More

Hi Lauren, Thank you for your nice review of Desert Sun Resort. We take pride in having the most beautiful nudist resort in California and we appreciate when a guest comments on our beautiful grounds. Your opinion that the pools, good restaurant and gorgeous grounds make it a “nice place for a naturism vacation” is shared by all of our... More

I believe my wife may have entered a Trip Advisor report for Desert Sun a few years ago following our first stay. Our stay back then coincided with the new owners acquiring the resort and was very positive. Since that time we have made repeated and numerous visits to Desert Sun staying in the Villas, the hotel and even the... More

Room was wonderful and spacious. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Restaurant/Bar...drinks and food were delicious. The outside patio area was warm and inviting. The grounds are beautiful! The jacuzzi and pools were at the perfect temperature and a great way to relax and soak in the beautiful views. This was the third time we stayed at the Desert Sun,... More

I've been going to Desert Sun for years. I have thoroughly enjoyed every trip! I was reading my nudist newsletters and found that Desert Sun has recently changed their policies to ban children. On the outside I can understand their decision. We've all seen crying children in the grocery store. However, I feel that if children are being a disturbance... More

We stayed here during a cold spell, but had a couple of days where the sun was warm enough to lay out. The restaurant was closed most of the time and the resort was pretty empty. This was no surprise given the time of year and weekdays. We stayed in the Chaparral section. The rooms are getting tired and need... More

We appreciate your input regarding your recent stay at our resort. As you witnessed, our front desk immediately closed the Jacuzzi and contacted our pool vendor, Shark Pools, to come out for an emergency service call upon learning of your experience. Desert Sun Resort, like most other resorts, outsources the cleaning, maintenance, and chemicals to an outside company that specializes... More

We visited the last few days of November. The weather was hot and sunny; perfect for this resort. The service, amenities, and landscaping were simply outstanding. We agree with most of the visitors that this is not a children appropriate facility as some have complained about. We stayed in the Charparell rooms which we thought very adequate. We are looking... We visited Desert Sun in early October and then again over Thanksgiving, each visit was for five nights in a Chaparral room. The grounds continue to be beautifully landscaped and maintained. The pools were cleaned daily and kept at a very comfortable temperature. The staff continues to hold true to their customer service values and excellence. When we weren't sleeping... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your continued support and being a repeat guest. Desert Sun Resort has rules about inappropriate behavior that each guest receives upon check in. We do our best to police this and we greatly appreciate when a guest reports anything that makes them uncomfortable. We respect and act on... More

After our first experience last halloween at the Desert Sun on a nude vacation, we now realize we were very spoiled. My wife was very nervous that first day last year(more like first 30 minutes), and we now look to a nude vacation as our first choice. The Desert Sun just puts us at ease the second we step on... My wife and I were there last week of Sept. and first week of Oct. We love that we were able to sit around the pool and not have to listen to kids. We raised our kids and now it it our turn to go to this resort and have time to relax. We hope they do not go back... More

My partner and I were at the resort in October 2011. This was our first time back in a long time (when it was Desert Shadows) since the ownership changes and new name. I give the new management a lot of credit for updating the place. Indoor space is pretty standard, but they have made some beautiful landscaping and poolside... More

Thank you for taking the time to compliment us on the many positive changes that we have made to Desert Sun Resort. As you experienced, all of our rooms have been completely renovated and the grounds are now 100% improved with three new pools, two new spas, and two new fire pits. As you had mentioned, the resort no longer... More
