Just arrived and so unimpressed. Waited u til 5 pm for our villa. Never got a text that it was Shoved out to an auxillary area and road noise. Its honestly BS. Got to the room and the lock is broken. Told that security eould get here when they can. Try calling the front desk. I dare you. AI ASSISTANT. Will never stay here again.

Our stay was for an entire week and we only had their light housekeeping once and even then we had to request the service. We have stayed on this property at least a half dozen times and the villas are great and usually the service is top notch. According to the information we received at check-in, we were supposed to receive a light housekeeping service every other day. We only had someone come once on Tuesday after our request. Nobody came back even after I requested service later in the week. They offered a $50 credit but we had already pre-paid the entire stay so no credit and no housekeeping and only an apology. Definitely not up to Marriott standards.

I’m an owner here for 20 plus years. I asked for an extra quilt for the bed and was told I could have a blanket but not a quilt. The thermostat takes HOURS allow the one bedroom in Villas II to reach the cool or warm temp. The staff is overwhelmed. TV remote missing and the replacement had dead batteries. Over the years simple amenities have disappeared. No shampooing, conditioner, or body lotion except in secondary shower. No glasses at the bathroom sinks. Smaller cheap refrigerators. Towels are old and mixed. Some are slightly gray and unacceptable. Dishwasher used to come with 6 detergents, now it’s three. There are half the bath towels in the units so washing is constant. 2 washcloths for a one bedroom unit. Small things like the outdoor table and indoor is round. The placements were suited to those tables, now they are rectangular and hang over the edge. The worst is the cleanliness. Look around the handles in the kitchen and the main door. Greasy and dirty finger prints m, both old and new. I’d call for help and more cleaning but they don’t answer at the front desk. The housekeeping staff is charming and thoughtful. They are hoofing it constantly. They want to do a good job but this place is so understaffed that you can smell it in the air despite the report to shareholders claiming it’s staffed up now. To what level? Hallways have vacuums standing in them for days on end. I finally called to ask about 3 of them and the desk defended them. I called the concierge for three days and it rang for 15 minutes each time, so you are on your own. I finally called the concierge at the JW to find out where to have brunch on Sunday. All I can say is it’s sad as an owner. I used to love this place and still think it’s pleasant. Not even a 4 star these days, but 3. Still in shock over vacuums in the outside areas.

The condo was really nice with firm bed and modern decor and beautiful view of golf course. There are seven pool locations with each location having a spa and pool or pools. However, it didnt have a vacation vibe...there was no coffee or tea in lobby. The only restaurant is open 2pm to 5pm and after traveling that's just inconvenient.

This was our second time at Marriott''s Desert Springs Villas II. The first time was very good, accommodations quite nice, clean, plenty of room and a swimming pool quite near. We had a 2 bedroom which was a little odd. The second bedroom was actually a suite connected by a small hallway that was part of the entrance and could have been a separate room if someone rented a suite and another the one bedroom. It was private because the main door was for us only. The hard part was that our special needs daughter was in the suite and we were in the one bedroom. The only way we could listen for her was to prop the door open to her unit and prop the door to our unit. Although completely private and very nice accommodations, it was a bit awkward. That unit backed on Cook which is a very busy street and so we had traffic noise 24/7. This time they put us in the Jasmine Court area which is separate from the main compound and was amazing. It was so quiet and peaceful with a deck overlooking the golf course. Again the accommodations were wonderful and we had a swimming pool that was just for our area. The unit was perfectly clean and nicely appointed. We did not mind at all being in a separate area because it was so quiet and peaceful. We used the van once to get back from the main area and it was quick and quite convenient. We had a one bedroom this time so I'm don't know the configuration of a two bedroom in this area. We will definitely be back and hope to be in Jasmine Court again.

Wonderful place to trade your timeshare week. The views were breathtaking. Everything in the Villa was in perfect working order. Buildings are only two-floors which worked great. The fitness center was seriously outdated; it's divided into two small rooms with old carpeting and aging equipment. It got really busy at times and there was simply no room to exercise.

Beautiful property situated next to the JW Marriott. Very comfortable, spacious rooms with large lanais. Plenty of activities and even live music at the main pool. If you like people watching, the main pool is great but there are a number of quiet pools with hot tubs around the property making it easy to keep everyone happy.

This is our 4th stay at this particular property. For us the biggest draws are the views and the fitness instructors who lead group classes such as yoga, aquafit, etc. Jessica and Abraham are the best I've seen at a resort and the schedule offers great variety. We are a couple who live a nomadic life so unlike most folks who come to this property on vacation we come to live for two weeks at a time. We are not owners and find that they run specials and we can get great rates. The one bedroom villas are spacious, the grounds are well maintained, and we love the ability to take daily classes. We are able to work remotely and the internet is fast (although when we visited in Feb 2023 that was not the case but they were going through a major system upgrade at the time). As many of the other reviews have mentioned it is a timeshare property so there isn't daily housekeeping, but they do come every few days for extended stays and will deliver anything needed. it's easiest to text vs call on the phone. It seems that a phone call takes forever for someone to answer and the texting is their preferred mode of communication. We do keep coming back, but it should be noted that there are some rooms that are not desirable at this property. There seems to be a bug problem on the side of the property that faces one of the side streets as we saw several bugs so were moved after our first two nights. You can call and make a room request however they remind you that they can't guarantee it. Once we moved we felt like we were having the experience we have come to love at this property.

Nice rooms. We booked a one bedroom for 13 nights. It was roomy and comfortable. Bed nice. Apparently Marriott had their own bed manufacturing. I chose this place mainly for the Palmeris pool area, which includes a long enough straight section to swim laps. It is very nice. Pool activities/staff fun, pool temp good. The Water’s Edge pool bar and grill is adequate, but I prefer lunch in our unit and dinner at a restaurant, of which there are many nearby. We got good service from desk and maid staff, with one “tidy-up” halfway through our stay, which was enough. On check-in we were offered a free night if we went to a presentation of their new resort, which we recognized as a time-share presentation, but given that I suspect Marriott has a better time-share program than most, I agreed to spend 1-1.5 hr one morning to learn more. Marketer assured us that it would be low key, not at all a high pressure sales program. The next week we met a very nice gentleman—great personality to sell—who gave us an honest presentation. After going through the details and answering my questions, and leaving the room a few times to get more info (reminiscent of experiences long ago with car dealers “I need to check with my manager.”) it became clear to us that despite the differences in this program from the usual time-share, it was not for us. He then called in another person (supervisor?, closer?) who pushed a bit harder, and then when it became clear we were not persuaded, that guy stormed out. We were then told to wait again behind a closed door for another person to arrive and give us a gift and we could sign the form to get the free night. I did not want to wait again in that room, so we exited and waited in the hallway, soon to be greeted by another person who insisted we enter another room, which we did. After repeating “No, I have to go” multiple times to her additional attempts now to now sell us a single option at one future trip, she relented and gave us a receipt for our discount. Twenty or thirty years ago I swore I would never sit through another of these, and I was right. For someone who wants to pay in advance to assure they will take vacations it may be a reasonable idea (like the whole life insurance concept of forced savings at a cost). But paying today’s money for future “points,”—particularly when they tell you upfront that though you can sell the package back to them for 40% of cost—does not work for me. The free night had not been credited at check-out, so I then had to contact the resort again when I got home in order to deal with that error. Desk staff supervisor was able to politely credit that to our card, but that should not have been my responsibility to check and correct. Good stay except for the time share presentation.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Stayed here with my husband, went to a concert…. Really happy we stayed up too late one night only to turn on the kitchen lights (to grab a night cocktail) and found COCKROACHS walking around on the kitchen counters! Absolutely disgusting!! Then my husband takes a shower before bed to find BLACK MOLD on the bathroom windows! Went to Marriot front desk next morning and they offered LITERALLY NOTHING!!! Oops, offered to change out our room…. Cockroach in One room, you know there in others!! So we said we are leaving…. No help to move hotels or anything! Moved to a different hotel ON OUR OWN!! No option for them to even PAY A CAB for us to move elsewhere. Here’s the catch….. after doing research, did you know, cockroaches already bacteria everythey walk???? And they walk EVERYWHERE that is damp has food and shelter!!??? So literally everywhere!!! Before we changed hotels, I had to throw out ALL BATHROOM STUFF!!!!! Because we had no idea what a cockroach walked over…. Make up, toothbrushes, etc. came home had to put ALL OF OUR STUFF IN QUARANTINE (this means tight sealed garbage bags for 2 weeks minimum) to kill anything by suffocation. Contacted Marriot about the issue…. WOW!!!! Gave us after negotiations $250 worth of points…. Not even enough to recover my bathroom/makeup buys after I had to throw it all out!!! PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Marriot will not give you the time of day on this……….. it’s NOT WORTH IT!!
