We stayed 3 nights in late October, two in the Primrose room on the main property ($175 Th & $225 Fri) and one in an "overflow" space just down the road, a small 1-bedroom apartment above shops ($275). Taxes add another 11%. We are local to Marin and this didn't seem outlandish, until we saw the place. Bottom line -... More

We stayed in the cottage overnight on our way up the coast. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was awesome. John the owner is a great chef and made us feel very welcome. Only down side for us was that the oven/range in the cottage kitchen didn't work. After a long day traveling and late arrival we were hoping... More

A lovely location, warm but not intrusive service, run of the house, a great breakfast, and the peacefulness of Olema make this a super getaway, or, as we usually use it, as a stop for the first day out of San Francisco on a journey up the coast.

Just returned from spending three days with Carole and John at Alta Olema. We had a casual reunion with friends from college and we stayed in both the cottage and a very pleasant room in the main house. We also used the cottage as an after-hours gathering spot for drinks and conversation away from the other guests, this arrangement worked... More

Great place to stay. The Wiltshire family epitomizes personal service and have completely turned this property around from what it used to be. Don't pay any attention to any reviews from years ago! Did I mention the English style breakfast? Loved it. This is a charming property and I highly recommend it if you find yourself in the Point Reyes... More

While traveling up the coast of California we were pressed for time to find a place to stay for the night. Our Garmen listed Olema cottages as a possibility. We took a chance and were quite pleasantly pleased. The inn keepers were very cordial and made us feel very welcome at the bed and breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and... More

We were slated to go to Olema RV park, but due to issues with RV I made calls for a place to stay and be able to take our pet and also a place to accommodate my wheelchair. The place is now under new management and we found it to be very quite, pleasant, enjoyable, and freindly. The room was... More

We stayed in the private cottage which, although adjacent to the main building, is nicely secluded among trees. Plenty of room for both of us and our dog. Most spectacular is the view from the common room of the Pt. Reyes ridgeline. With such a nice view, and warmed by sunlight, we dallied at breakfast and evening wine and cheese... More
