We had a beautiful corner room, 2nd story with balcony that looks out over Cannery Row. The rooms have working fireplaces! Beautiful and comfortable bed. A garden on the roof of the building where you can see the bay as well as Cannery Row. Just a couple of blocks from the aquarium. What a great time! We would stay here... More

Only stayed one night and it was hard to leave! Our room had a wrap=around porch that gave views of the bay and of Cannery Row with comfy chairs to relax and enjoy life. Room was nice and the afternoon wine and cheese enabled pleasant conversations with other guests. Wouldn't stay anywhere else inMonterey!!

We just ended our two night stay at this wonderful establishment and regret that we have to move on. Apart from somebody knocking on our door at 2.30am everything was excellent about this place. My wife and I spent a long weekend here in June 2012 and loved the rooms with the fireplace, and in particular sleeping with the windows open to hear the surf right below us. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed wine and cheese on the rooftop terrace. There's nothing not to like about the Spindrift!

It's a great location, splendid service and a cozy room. From the happy hour in the lobby to breakfast delivered to our room, it was amazing! Walking distance to the aquarium, shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend The Spindrift Inn.
