We haven't stayed here for many years and were afraid it would be dated but we found out the remodel every few years. We joined other family members and we could all fit comfortably in one room for a fun evening.

The BW Monterey Inn is a pleasant hotel located within easy walking distance of many, if not most, Monterey landmarks. This was the 3rd year coming to this hotel, every year is worse. Not stocked rooms. A truck painting beeped from 8 to 3, breakfast sucked. Rooms old not updated, 40 year old tv . Checked out went to the monterey beach resort also best western MUCH BETTER

The room was large and the hotel overall well maintained. Breakfast in the morning was also good. The staff offered us the usage of the microwave which was a great help. The only downside was the room itself which was on the ground floor overlooking the asbestos roofed parking lot and a broken down jalopy.

Overall we liked the location and service at this hotel. It is very clean. However, the walls are very thin. We stayed on the second of three floors. Cons: Arrived around 11:45 PM and no one was at the front desk. Waited 20 min for anyone to show up to check us in. Desk agent was aloof and blase.
