The staff is superb. Management's decision to discontinue the excellet breakfast included with the night stay is a poor decisio! I have stayed at the Grand Kyoto no less than 10 times over the last 2 years. Unfortunately, this was my last visit to the Grand Kyoto.

The location is unbeatable for access to Japan town. There is a walkway to the shopping center with Kinokuniya which is supposed to close at 7, and the front entrance is not much farther.
