Motel had a very tacky feel to it. Staff not particularly friendly or helpful and breakfast barely adequate with nowhere to sit to eat it. Motel in fact replicated Hollywood in the area around the Chinese Theatre. Tacky!

I stayed at the HCI for a night in the beginning of February, and all I can say is that it's a reasonable place to sleep for a night passing through L.A. The rooms are clean and spacious, the beds comfortable and the area quiet and nice for a walk down Hollywood Blvd.

I have NEVER had an experience like this. The front desk agents speak very little broken English or pretend to. When you arrive they make photocopies of everyone who is staying in the rooms drivers licenses and a photocopy of the credit card. They say it is "policy" and they have to keep it for their "records" for 3 months.... More
