We recently spent two nights in one of the cabins at Tioga Pass Resort and it was everything we could have wished for and more. The cabin was super cute and very comfortable, with a river running right outside, so I fell asleep each night to the sound of the river. If you really want to experience Yosemite NP without... More

Many of the adverse reviews of TPR seem to be written by people who like (and want to stay in) the kind of blah, vanilla motel you can find in Anytown, USA. Live a little! TPR is unique in so many wonderful and unexpected ways. Like Deetjen's in Big Sur, this is a one-of-a-kind place and most appreciated by people... More

Tioga Pass resort is an authenic fun place with great food, large portions and fabulous selection of deserts. Currently they are open in summer months and with intensity of last winter are operating on very short season. Years prior they had winter stays with snow mobile transport and hope to resume this adventure in 1-2 yrs. This year they have... More

I made reservations via e-mail in the Fall of 2009 for family coming to CA from Colorado in June 2010. In May I started e-mailing to confirm the reservations. Around the beginning of June I had been hearing that the pass was not going to open for many more weeks, which would definitely put a kink in our plans. I... More

This place is lovely. Its a dream. But the employees are a nightmare. They never call you back, they don't even bother to email you back. Trying to make a reservation to stay here is impossible. You pretty much have to drive to the resort and ask if you can make a reservation and of course the older lady with... More

Stopped off for lunch one day and was just incredibly impressed. The food was beyond excellent. So a friend and I decided to try a weekend. All I can say WOW, they really know how to do it right!!! The rooms are very rustic, but I feel it is part of the charm. They were clean, just not sophisticated along... More

Stayed one night 9/30/09. I'd driven by many times and always wanted to stay here. The perfect spot for non-campers to acclimate before spending a day in the high country. I know what "rustic" means, so I had an idea of what to expect. My room, #6, was a notch above, though--having recently been remodeled. It had a private bathroom... More

Staying at Tioga Pass Resort is like trekking back in time. The historic lodge and cabins are nestled within a majestic setting on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevada crest. Our small log cabin (built in 1919 and recently rennovated) was cozy, clean, quiet, and comfortable. We went there to relax, hike, fish, and enjoy the scenery . We... More

I stayed in room 4 in the "motel," which is a small building on the property with four rooms and a shared shower. The staff were all very friendly, and helpful with suggestions about nearby hiking opportunities. The room was small but adequate and cozy. The inroom bathroom was very basic -- minimally adequate. No phone or TV, so a... More

Tioga Pass high country! One of the unspoiled gems of the highest regions of the Sierras! Tioga Pass Resort (TPR) provides wonderful accomodations for the outdoor enthusiast who is looking for great hospitality, great food (cafe) and rustic but clean and comfortable and classy accomodations! Don't expect chocolate on the pillows...but do expect great people who work hard to make... More
