“Nice place with inconsiderate people”

This is a first-come-first-serve type. Driving to the campground was an experience as the road travelled along the Kern River. I stopped from time to time to feel the water and fish. “Pioneer Point Campground - Developed, Views, Lots to Do in Area!”

Pioneer Point campground is developed - with water, flush toilets, and showers. RV's as well as tents are allowed. Campsites are large and if you look, you can find a few that are fairly private. My family visited the Pioneer Point Campground over the July 4th weekend. Let me tell you, this place is hot during this time of year (around 100 degree).
