Nice, basic hotel in a fabulous setting. Several upgrades/renovations seem to be in process. Very comfortable, safe and amazing views of the golf course and ocean. Wedding reception in the Fairway pavillion was very nice and elegant. Not a fan of the overpriced breakfast food ($18 for eggs!), but the setting can't be beat.

While planning a trip to San Diego, we decided to include a golf outing with our customer. With Torrey Pines South in our sights, we selected the Hilton La Jolla - Torrey Pines for our stay. The accomodations were excellent, and the guaranteed tee time made it very convenient.

The renovations are really good, however, I had the misfortune of staying during a week when the entire floor (4th) rooms were being renovated. The epoxy smell was at times unbearable and lasted through the night -- not good when you're trying to work in the room. Unlucky me! At least the view and location were fantastic.
