I just spent a weekend in Sonoma, alternating wine tasting and hiking. What made it affordable and comfortable was finding a nice bed and breakfast - my friends and I (3 of us) stayed at The Irish Rose Inn, in a small cabin behind the house. There are also beds inside the main house but we liked the privacy of... More

My husband and I love Healdsburg and the surrounding areas but used to limit ourselves to day trips because of the EXTREMELY high priced hotels and B&B's in the area. $400/night even $500/night for rooms! I know Sonoma County is special but GOOD LORD! This room was very reasonably priced and very comfortable. We suggest reserving Michael's Room it overlooks... More

Another reviewer aptly wrote that a visit to the Irish Rose was like staying with an aunt and uncle. That's a great comparison. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had no problems with heat or water pressure as other reviewers have. The location is outside of town but on a lovely road flanked with vineyards - really no problem... More

We stayed with Chris and Lanny over the MLK weekend in Jan. 2012 for our birthdays. We stayed in Kimberly's room upstairs. The room is nice and clean. The issues we had were the following: 1) Breakfast was nothing to write home about, eggs, sausage, bagels and fruit one morning. Asked for tea and they only had one type of... More

We stayed in November, 2011. We will have to agree that breakfasts were good and owners Ok. It was very cold the first day, and upon returning from dinner, we thought there would be a nice warm fire and there wasn't . It was very cold in the house. There was no way to make a cup of coffee, tea,... More

I stayed at this lovely B&B yesterday together with my fiancee and we absolutely loved it. Lanny and Chris, the owners, are wonderful people and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. I highly recommend a stay with them! More

Perfect! Warm comfy couple, Christine and Lanny, offer a warm and comfortable environment. Clean and comfy beds on a cold night, we woke to a roaring fire, a hot pot of tea, and a wonderful hot breakfast. After a day of hiking and wine tasting we returned for a nap, and then joined our hosts for wine and cheese. Our... More

It's hard to give this place 3 stars because the hosts are such sweet people and were so kind to us, but in our experience, this place wasn't deserving of it's close to the top rank on trip advisor. I looked at all the B&B options before selected Irish Rose and it looked wonderful and was $100 or $200/night cheaper... More

My fiancee and I recently stayed at the Irish Rose Inn for 3 nights while visiting wedding venues in the area. Our room was so cute and comfortable, we couldn't have asked for a better place to rest after a long day. It was such a beautiful setting, and Chris and Lanny made us feel very welcome. They had great... More

We stayed in the cottage and it was well stocked comfortable and very clean. our visit was too short but our host could not have been nicer and we felt like we were visting old friends. There is even a place surrounded by roses and... More
