Cozy,warm,comforting. Like staying at a friend or family members home. Interesting architecture and history. I love the unique antiques and Victorian ambiance. Friendly staff and reasonable rates make this a great place to stay. Gallaghers Pub down stairs is a great place to unwind and get some comfort food. Irish Thursdays is the best.

We agree with this traveler (and others) that the Eagle House is indeed an amazing structure---and we certainly appreciate him saying so. We're also glad that our guest rooms deserved his praise, as well as our on-site "Cheers-like" restaurant, Gallagher's.

we totally enjoyed this fine piece of history with intimate access to oldtown and the waterfront. our 4th floor rooms had an expansive view of the city. we really enjoyed all of the nooks and crannies, the pub and dancefloor, and the little sitting rooms. highly recommended
