We've been coming here for many years. Usually we spend an entire week. Privacy is good; they allow dogs for a small fee; location is very nice on the North Fork Yuba. Reasons I did not rate this a 5 star: 1) it is right across from Hwy 49, so when you are lounging at the river, cars are driving... More

We just loved it. The camping cabins are snug for 2 couples but a family of 4 it would be perfect. Affordable too! I am definately going to be coming back again. Maybe a bunch of couples to rent the entire riverfront of camping cabins. The town is so close too. Gorgeous!

This is a review of the full cabins NOT the camping cabins. We've been coming up to Lure for years and we love it here. On our recent trip we stayed in White Bear the largest of the cabins right on the lawn with a long deck facing the river. We could get wifi from the office from here which... More

We have stayed at the Lure Resort for the past 10 years. The location is great for playing on the river. The past two years we have noticed the lack of maintenance and the run down facilities. The rates have crept up, and the charge for a camping cabin, (no electricity) and showers and toilets across the road, has crept up... More

My first comment is to people who expect 5 star accommodations in a rural community...this is not Trump Tower nor are you in New York City. So please pack accordingly as you are in the woods! We have stayed many times at The Lure both with and without our kids. We go to Downieville to get away from crazy busy... More

I have traveled the world first class and I have to say this is one of my favorite spots to stay. The "Rose" cabin has been maintained as it was meant to be, "a real cabin." No frills to take away or compromise the absolutely magnificent natural beauty of this area. The cabin is so sweet and clean. We were... More

We really feel like we found the perfect place to visit. We stayed in the camping cabins for two nights on the river with our two dogs. It was very relaxing and peaceful. The cabins and bathrooms were very clean. Management was very helpful when we needed. We went into "town" to get citronella (bring mosquito repellent!) at the local... More

The Lure Resort has been a family favorite for decades. This is the finest and best run resot on the river. If you are looking to get away from it all, and spend some great time outdoors with the people you love, than this is the place to do it. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere is. The cabins are... We booked at the Lure, as it has always been a place we wanted to stay. We had to wait for our place to be cleaned. The Ruby is the oldest place on the property. There was a really bad smell in the cabin... perhaps something dead under it, or in the walls. ICKY! It is on river, but the... More

We stayed here for only a few nights but it was wonderful. The housekeeping cabin was right on the water front and had everything you could have wanted. We had b-b-q's everynight. The owners were lovely they gave you everything you could have wanted. it wasn't the cheapest place we stayed during our 18 day trip but it was definitely... More
