We have been there for 4 nights over the Easter time 2013 and had a great time. The room was great and the balcony amazing. The food was good and reasonably priced and the staff were great. Swimming with the Whale sharks is a bus ride away, about 20 minutes- does close around 12.30 lunchtime, so go in the morning.... More

“Room with a view”

Wow! The food was quite good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Manager Clyde checked with us to ensure all our needs were met. But the view from the room (with cool balcony) overlooking the sea was spectacular, especially the sunset. We dove with the whale sharks nearby. Great stopover.

Very nice room with great view from the balcony. There is always something to watch.If you like to snorkle, you can do it right from the beach (almost no sand, but stones from coral). Thanks for your review Annegrete34, Since February we have now improved the food by offering fewer dishes on a rotating daily basis, and putting more effort into perfecting them than what was possible for a small resort with the bigger menu we had before. The room was wonderful. It had a comfortable bed, good shower and a great balcony to marvel the view. They did get TVs installed with USB access. I highly recommend the Eden Resort for anyone who visit Oslob for whale shark watching. It's in close proximity and probably the nicest hotel around this area and good value. Thanks for you positive respond. You are right, the bus could be a mess. A recommendation for anyone taking the bus is to take the air conditioned one, and put on a long sleeve shirt or something as they always run the A/C on full. Internet only at restaurant, even at the terrace of the room closest to restaurant weak and unstable signal, alternativ Smart Bro signal very slow and unstable too.
