As other reviews have said, this lodging is fairly deep in the valley at least 30 minutes from Carmel and the beaches. So if you are looking for Carmel only, don`t stay this deep in the valley. For the price ($179 on weekends), I would expect fuller towels, fewer bathroom and sink stains, and window shades that work. There's a difference between rustic and old, and this place is old and in need of a refurbishment. On the positive side, WiFi coverage is much improved over last year.
