Last April a friend and i stayed here for a couple nights. Rates were relatively inexpensive for the area, and the staff was friendly. It is advertised as dog-friendly, too, and is. The grounds had a little path to walk around, so our pooch had fun while we prepared to explore Carmel and the coast. More

Get a remodeled cottage--you'll be glad you did. Cute grounds, friendly staff, quiet surroundings. Mid-week is particularly quiet. There's a great shopping area within a mile to get anything you need. This place is a work-in-progress....but far more memorable than a hotel. More
