I have been going up to Big Bear for a few years for winter fun. Finally I found a place affordable and a place I can stay if I don't feel like hitting the slopes. I chose a onebedroom cabin for 20 dollars more a night than the motel style room. The room was clean and had a kitchen and... More

Thank you so much for the time you took to write a review for us. We appreciate it and the fact that you point out so many things about staying at Big Bear Frontier. It is fun to be able to do a variety of things, hit the slopes, enjoy the lake, take that little stroll into the village, all... More

By no means a luxury stay, but stay at Frontier was okay. Front-desk person was very friendly, room was clean (slightly-worn), and right on Big Bear Lake. Location is very good ... only minutes from Bear Mountain. My sons and I were able to replenish and his the slopes all day. More

Thank you for staying with us. We are glad that you liked the convenience and were able to maximize your trip by having a nice clean place to stay. Thank you for your candid remark about the room being a bit worn. That happens fast in a "high traffic" resort, so it was a good reminder that we must pay... More

Just got back from a quick stay at Big Bear Frontier (just one night) and I really loved the hotel. My girlfriend and I chose one of their rooms with a fireplace in it and the room couldn't have been better! This isn't 5-star luxury, mind you. But the rooms are perfect in their quaint nature (it's all wood trim... More

Thank you so much for choosing us as your place to stay. I apologize for the noise level that you endured early in the morning. Glad you needed to get up to get out on those slopes, but hear what you are saying, just in case you or someone else needed to sleep in. Yes, next time, ask for a... More

My wife and I stayed here in November and found it to be a comfortable room with a warm and welcoming staff in a great location. Its a little far to walk into the village for some, but it is about a 5 minute drive. The property is right on the lake with great views and a large deck to... More

We appreciate the time you took to write a review for us. We are happy that you felt your stay was comfortable and the price was also comfortable. Alas, being pet friendly is one of our high spots for our guests and our staff. We love animals and don't like to ever leave ours at home. Those fine little furry... More

We stayed here for our first white christmas and we absolutely loved it, our cabin with jacuzzi and chimney and ALL the amenities made for an unforgettable experience! Right on the lake, a stones throw away from the slopes, walking distance to restaurants and cafes made for a vacation with every bit of comfort and convenience! Staff were extremely helpful... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The resort is all of the nice things that you indicate in your review. We were unaware that the noise level was so high if you had a first room floor in the motel. I will ask the front desk to be aware of someone checking into an upstairs room... More

This was a great and cheap place for a quick getaway during the summer. The only thing that you should be made aware of though is that if you stay in one of the hotel rooms in the lower floor, you could hear your upstairs neighbors walking around, and jumping on the bed (it seems they had kids). Other than... More

We booked Big Bear Frontier immediately again after 2 weeks because we really enjoyed our last stay. The front desk staff were very friendly, accomodating and helpful. The studio cabin was small but it was okay. The cabin had a patio which had a (portion) view of the lake. Everything was perfect during our first stay at the place. BUT... More

This is an adorable hotel. (There are also cabins, but I was in the hotel that is near the water) The interior is rustic, the staff is wonderful and attentive, I really enjoyed the first 24 hours of my two night stay. One teensy problem: the first night I was there, there were only a few other rooms rented. They... More

My GF and friends stayed at this place for one night for our snowboarding trip and here's our take on Big Bear Frontier.
