Stay here for a cheap, well located comfortable hotel in Berkeley

I stayed at the Rodeway on seven different occasions between August and October 2011 and stayed in five different rooms during that period. My individual stays were from 3 to 4 nights each.
As others have noted the place is a good value for anyone wanting to stay in Berkeley for work or if you're visiting UC Berkeley. The rooms...

This was my second, three night stay here. The rooms have been refurbished, are super quiet, have a fridge and microwave, and are a terrific value at around $65 per night. It comes with breakfast, but since I am gluten and dairy free, there isn't anything that I can eat except the coffee and juice. The staff was very helpful,...

Stayed at the Rideway as the Holiday Inn on University we normally stay in was full. Most of the reviews on tripadvisor were positive and we were glad we stayed. Half the price of the Holiday Inn, and other than the rooms being somewhat smaller, hardly any difference. Spotlessly clean with everything you need to hand. The rooms are small...

Very good location near UC Berkeley. Rooms are clean, small, ac/heater, recently renovated, fridge, microwave, hair dryer. Coin laundry room. Breakfast consists of frozen waffles, french toast, yogurt, juices, coffee. For $79-89 it is a very good deal. there is a very good Thai restaurant in front of the hotel that is reasonably priced for a quality meal.
For the...

As another reviewer mentioned, I can't believe this is the number 2 hotel in Berkeley on Trip Advisor. It was clean, but really dated. The bedspread was kind of dingy and the TV really old, but it served its purposes for the one night we stayed there. There is granite in the bathroom, which is probably why the motel is...

I want to start by saying that I don't make a practice of writing reviews, but I am so pleasantly surprised by this place that I feel the need to give it it's due props.
First off, the energy of the place is great. It is enclosed on three sides, with a fountain in the center. One feels cozy and...

I stayed at the Rodeway Inn Berkeley for two nights. I asked for a different room because the first room I got definitely had someone smoking in it (even though it’s a non-smoking hotel). I was moved promptly without any question. I actually got an upgrade from a queen to a king room which was nice! The rooms are simple,...

This hotel can’t be #2 in Berkeley. If this is true, then for hotel #15 you have to sleep below a bridge. Then, I can’t imagine how #20 looks like. I suspect that some reviews here are written by somebody who favors this place. The hotel is relatively cheap (I paid $78 with tax per night) and also it is...

Pulled in after rejecting the University Avenue Travelodge (creepy!) just because Vacancy sign was lighted. Pleasant set back parking lot with water feature and picnic tables feels safe and secure.. Older motel beautifully redone, small but very comfortable room with microwave, fridge, flat screen TV and all amenities. Fun "waterfall" shower!! Excellent breakfast with GOOD coffee. Ve3ry pleasant personnel. And...
