We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our 3 week trip to Chile, travelling with another couple. The plan was to have some relaxation time before the long journey home so it mattered little that there wasn't much to do in Zapallar. The hotel was chosen because we generally like small, quiet characterful hotels. On arrival we... More

I dined here twice. For dinner I chose king crab risotto followed by steak and sauté potatoes, two glasses of house Carmenere (half a bottle), coffee. The food and service were good, as was the wine, though at 34,500 (circa UK£51) it was not a cheap experience. I sat inside whilst smokers chose to dine outside under heaters. At dinner... More

A bit self-consciously "smart", but pretty good and an enjoyable experience. Staff were welcoming, and our room - with a sea view - was extremely attractive. Lounge areas and outside were kept clean and tidy. The restaurant is good, but not, we thought, as exceptional as some other reports state - or as exceptional as the hotel itself seems to... More

Staying here was a lovely way to finish off our 6 week trip to South America. The hotel's location was excellent and the amenities top notch. Nothing was too much trouble. I needed a doctor and one of the staff volunteered to be my interpreter!! The restaurant has a very good chef and the dining area was beautiful. We highly... More

Beautiful, quiet hotel in lovely surroundings. Fantastic sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Lovely gardens. Elegant restaurant with a very nice terrace overlooking the sea. Excellent food and breakfast. It reminded me of quiet vacations in a splendid manor house.

This is actually a very small boutique hotel in Zapallar, has everything that one could possibly want for a couple of days or weeks of unwinding. Location gives you rapid and easy access to the beach (a small horseshoe shapped beach that in winter is deserted), great view of the sunsets over the ocean while you have some drinks on... More

Regretted only having an evening to spend here on a business trip, but the corner room on the 3rd floor was lovely - spacious, well appointed, well illuminated, with great views, a nice little balcony, and a very comfortable bed. I only had a bit of a rushed breakfast due to meetings, but the food was very good. I would... More

We stayed at Isla seca for three nights over the New Year. First, the good bits. The hotel is in a fabulous setting looking out over the beautiful bay of Zapallar. The swimming pool area is memorable, a superbly relaxing place to while away an afternoon or two. We loved the breakfasts and the food was consistently excellent. Our rooms... More

Elegant hotel in a beautiful setting, but very erratic in the details. We started calling it Torres Desperfecto (Fawlty Towers) every time a drink order took twenty minutes, or our room key failed (about six times a day or the desk staff just shrugged about our room problem. Which was bugs: mosquitoes and gnats - we were heavily bitten as... More

Traveling with a group, we were put up in this hotel which has two parts. I was in the older part where reception and inning room was located. After initially being supplied with a room with two single beds, the hotel kindly remade the beds as a double which proved so comfortable, I woke late for the am departure. (I... More
