My week-long stay at the Rose Guest House in November/December was very comfortable. The owner (Ed) was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was excellent. The local area has stunning scenery. Decent mountain bikes are available to hire from the guest house. More

It s a great place to stay. Perfect view on the harbour and Suilven. Ed, the owner is very friendly and makes a good breakfast. Although the house is a little bit old it is very clean ( they cleaning every day). Also you will get new towels every day. In short: a great place to stay! More

We only planned to spend a few nights at The Rose in Lochinver. Turned out we stayed there for 8 nights. We had been there before and were very satisfied last time. We stayed in the ensuite room overlooking the harbour and mount Suilven. A warm welcome from Ed, the owner, and from Hans & Esther, who helped him out... More

I stayed here for one night and Ed and the girls were very welcoming. I had found the B&B with a quick Google search and booked via email for me and my Dad. On the day I was arriving I called to let Ed know I may be a little late. I was on a driving holiday with a few... More

Warm welcome by the owner and great breakfast in the morning in the patio with view on the Loch. Rooms were good and bathroom was clean and big enough. Recommend this B&B if you're stopping by Lochinver. More

We had a bit of trepidation about Rose Cottage as it looked rather twee in the photos. This feeling was soon allayed on our arrival, with a warm welcome from Ed of tea and biscuits in the sunny lounge looking over the bay, complete with books, guitar and lots of information about the area. Our rooms (not ensuite) are probably... More

We arrived very late (around midnight) from Ullapool ferry boat, and we had a warm welcome from Ed. The room was cold, but there was an electric heater, just to warm the room for the night. Bathroom outside the room. The breakfast was excellent, with a wonderful view. Payment only in cash, we wait much time to pay and leave. More

What a let down. After travelling for 10 days in Scotland and getting first class accomadation all the way we felt that on arrival the room along with the shower room and toilet which we were allocated is not on the picture not a surpise I instantly asked for an ensuite room and was told that there is only 1...
