We were searching for somewhere to stay around George/Mossel Bay area on our 6 week trip touring around in South Africa. We found Eight Bells Mountain Inn on the internet and it sounded perfect. We booked to stay, and we had 2 wonderful nights there. We stayed in one of the log cabins which had wonderful views on the valley... More

We only got to stay here for 1 night but would have loved to stayed for longer! We had booked a room but were offered an upgrade on arrival free of charge, our room was near the road but it wasnt a problem at night as it was very quiet. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a massive bathroom... More

We stayed for one night at Eight Bells Inn. The room was well presented but rather small, the bathroom even smaller. The swimming pool and snooker were enjoyable. However we were extremely disappointed with the food. Afternoon tea was advertised but did not appear at the appointed time and just consisted of a help yourself cup of tea or coffee.... More

The Eight Bells Inn is in a class of its own for location, scenery and facilities for everyone! There are inside and outside play areas for children with a pool and paddling pool, donkey rides and horses. For us there were beautiful flowers everywhere, super cuisine - including the cakes, bowls, tennis courts and trails. The Wi-Fi was excellent and... More

Room is a very small round cabin separated only by a hedge from a very busy noisy road. The accommodation smells musty and there is no air conditioning. If I'd known no air con would not have booked as my wife is of an age when she is always very hot!!! The bathroom is tiny and there's no shower only... More

Thank you for staying at Eight Bells and for taking the time to review our property. It is never nice to hear that the accommodation booked did not meet with the client’s expectations, and I apologise for that. It is a pity that the client did not come and speak to our front desk to ask for a room that... More

What a haven of comfort and beauty! We had lunch there today- too late for the set menu on a Sunday but the Ala Carte menu also did it for us! Wonderful friendly people whose tasks it is to please. Absolute value for money. Go there!

We found the staff at this hotel to be friendly, courteous and exremely helpful. The setting is idyllic and restful. The food was of a high standard and the hotel had a family orientated welcoming feel about it. The rooms although comfortable and tastefully decorated would look a lot better without the 70's wall to wall carpeting. I also felt... More

We spent 2 nights in a Swiss Chalet with fantastic views and a very relaxing ambience. The staff at this hotel are wonderful and the service we received from everyone was outstanding to say the least. The only gripe that I have is that I would rather prefer a shower to a bath which by the way was rather small!
