Stayed at this lodge a few times when in Maun on business. Very central, nice standard room, restaurant offers reasonable dinner and breakfast. The back rooms face the car park so it’s a bit of a lucky pick as to what are the quieter facing rooms.

I have just returned from Maun after a 2 day's stay at Maun Lodge, the place is beautiful, food served at the Booma is great. I would recommend anyone who wants to be home from home to visit Maun Lodge. The service is also good. rooms are always cleaned to perfection.
My advice is to leave the Boma Bar at the Maun Lodge off your eating schedule when in Maun.
Should have known when we arrived at the venue on Sunday at 1.30 for lunch and there was only one person seated in what is a really rather large restaurant.
The menu is extensive (always a warning) with individual headings for...

The accommodations here was pretty decent. Very good hot water, nice bar and dining area, and good service desk. The food wasn't remarkable, but it wasn't terrible either. Everyone was overall very kind. I loved the fire pit in the restaurant at night.
Beyond that, I had a moment of unfortunate carelessness left a tablet computer in my room and...

Expected more on my second visit but worse than the first one. Worse places to stay at in Maun. Very over prized . But in overhaul , for the average traveler it is very good. The food at The Boma is great but then also you have to have a great waiter to serve you.
Two things you need to know. The shuttle driver was hustleing his services as a taxi driver on his off hours but that was only a minor irritant and easily brushed off. The hotel is not conveniently located but I do not think that anything is. Maun is very spread out, making it awkward to get about.

Rooms are clean and simple, make sure you get one with a proper shower curtain (we flooded the bath) there was a water cooker and drinking water in a thermo, we had the rooms in the main building. Surprisingly drinks were cheap! Food was okay, service was very friendly in the restaurant as well as the laundry ladies. Unfortunately the...

If you are looking for clinical room and practical place without character this is the place to be. If you come to Maun going on safari this place is rather disappointing. Central location next to busy road, very small pool, no ambience. Food is ok, secure parking. Rooms are clean and fairly big. Aircon, TV, safe, fridge, all what one...

We stayed one night at the Maun Lodge on the way to Moremi. The building needs a facelift. The rooms were just OK but cobwebs in the room, mosquitos but no repellant supplied and electical equipment that did not work were a turn off. The meal area and the meal were satisfactory but the staff did not seem at all...

They call themselves "luxury lodge in Maun"- and they are so far away from that.
We came here because unfortunately Thamalakane Safari Lodge (a bit outside of Maun direction Moremi game reserve) was full.
Had booked a riverview room- one on the more expensive side. Furniture and amenities out of the eighties, for viewing river Thamalakane you have to sit...
