Rooms are food as all that but the cafe connected to it has all organic and locally raised elk, beef, wild cought boar, and even has a few vegitarian dishes. All amazing food. I will eat here again. Jasper is a cute, small town. I loved traveling there twice and both times I ate at this restaurant both times and highly recommend it. Most recently I enjoyed the lamb burger with potatoes. They serve elk and other dishes as well. I would stay there but haven't yet done so.

We found the owner to be most helpful during our recent stay. Jasper is a very unique town (population 248). People come to watch the elk and the leaves change. On this recent weekend we wanted to watch a certain college football game which was broadcast on Fox Sports Network. Not an easy assignment in a small very rural town.... More

I've stayed here three times, all in the Rose Suite, and each time it's a delightful place to stay. The room is nicely appointed and very comfortable. We were visiting friends nearby and they recommended the Arkansas House. We made reservations two evenings before we arrived, and the Garden Suite was available. It was spacious, spotless and very reasonable. Joseph gratuitously accomodated our late arrival.

The biggest plus for Arkansas House is its convenient location on the boardwalk in Jasper. The next biggest plus is that it is clean and fairly well maintained. After that, there's not much else.
