Very fine and friendly B&B, 1 minute drive from ferry terminal and with great view of the sea loch. Very friendly reception from Shirley who makes great breakfasts too. Thanks for comfortable two nights and for tip to take the circular road to Lochinver - wonderful views plus many places worth stopping at along the way. More

I stayed here for one night before taking the ferry to Lewis. The B&B is situated on a quiet street with wonderful views toll the front. Our room was situated on the rear of the building, but as it looked our onto the garden, with french windows on to the same we were not complaining. The room was very gererously... More

We stayed at Broombank for just one night in late October before taking the ferry to Stornoway. Shirley was very friendly and accomodating; an all-round lovely person, (and she makes amazing porridge!) Our room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished, with a spacious bed and plenty of covers and pillows. The en-suite was spotless, with fluffy towels and piping-hot water.... More

We travelled around Scotland for 2 weeks and this place was definitely one of the best we stayed at. The host Shirley was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We booked two rooms, a double and a twin. Both were beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The B & B is located on a quiet street and... More

My husband and I, together with two friends, stayed at Broombank for three nights during the Ullapool guitar festival. Shirley made us very welcome and the rooms were extremely comfortable, plus plenty of hot water and fluffy white towels. The big bowl of fresh fruit salad on the breakfast table was a real bonus and the men enjoyed their Scottish... More

We only stayed one night as we were takin the ferry to Stornoway. We had a lovely welcome, the room was immaculate, and the bed comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with Kathryns highlight, the fresh fruit we had to start. Not a lot more I could say!! More

Our room was at the front so we could see the Cal Mac ferries! This was the quietest place that we've stayed at in Ullapool but still within a few mins walk of the harbourside. Shirley was a fantastic hostess, everywhere was spotless, warm and comfortable. And after a week of "full Scottish" breakfasts it was so nice to have... More

We really enjoyed our seven day stay with Shirley. We were really well looked after. The breakfasts were more than adequate with the tables overlooking the loch. Our room was very light and airy and it and the en-suite were spotless. The B&B is in a quiet part of town but an easy walk to the harbour and shops. We... More
