Many times visiting Castle Douglas. First time at the Douglas House. Large comfortable room, beautiful, roomy bathroom. Great breakfast. Lovely hostess-Linda. If you want the best accommodations available for an amazingly reasonable price, this is your place.

The Douglas house was great - the lady who runs the place was very polite and helpful. The room was incredibly clean and beautifully decorated with really good quality linen and a feather duvet. The breakfast was delicious and was accompanied by tea served in a proper china tea pot.

We enjoyed a very pleasant overnight stay on Good Friday night. This is by far the nicest guest house I have stayed in. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and a warm friendly welcome. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the breakfast a very high standard, a lovely location, a delightful weekend I can't wait to repeat...... which I have already booked for autumn.

Stayed here a couple of times now, and will definitely be staying here whenever back in the area for work. Lovely, clean bedroom/en suite, the bed is super comfy and i had a great night sleep on both occasions. Lovely people and fantastic breakfast in terms of both quality and choice. Very reasonably priced too.
