It is a very nice and cosy B&B with a homely atmosphere. After a whole day of cycling I enjoyed having rest at my room which was very good. Also I did like the little pool with jacuzzi! Next time I'm in Scotland I'll be very glad to stay in this welcoming B&B again.

Stayed over on a cycling trip through Galloway. Castle Douglas is not perhaps the first place you would think of staying, but Summerhill was recommended and was superb. Friendly but not intrusive, comfortable and modern. Breakfast was great too

We received a warm and very personal welcome. The house is modern and features oak flooring and furniture throughout with underfloor heating and a luxury walk-in shower.
