This hotel has a nice aspect and reasonable location. The room was very small though and the hike up the stairs to the third floor a bit daunting. The walk onto the adjacent golf course and along the stream was very nice. The service and the food was below standard. Price was relatively high given the other places we have... More

I am not sure if you passed on your comments to my staff on duty who would have tried to rectify any issues you may have had. We will discuss your comments and continue to improve on... More

We dropped in to the hotel for a drink and to get out of the rain as we were considering a hotel in the area to book for the night. As we walked in the receptionists didn't bother looking up but continued to talk to each other so we made our way into the bar/restaurant. It was terribly cold so... More

It was disappointing to read your comments with regards to a negative Customer care feeling from my Reception and Food and Beverage staff on duty the day that you popped in for lunch. We will discuss these at our regular meetings and pass them on to all our staff. I do hope that if in the area again you would... More

We stayed here after a busy weekend in Oban and were looking for a hotel where we could relax and do not much else. This hotel was excellent for that purpose. We arrived early and our room was not ready, however we were able to pass the time by using the leisure facilities at the nearby Isle of Glencoe hotel... More

A return visit to this charactureistic hotel. To chane i is to lose its unique olde world feel.We stayed 7 years ago and the food and grounds were great. The lunch menu was limited but so much I had to take half the club sandwich with me.So near Glencoe, its nearness gives you a breather on the long trail to fort will... The hotel is situated on a sea loch, with views of the loch from the front and of the mountains from the back. Check-in for our group of 25 was efficient. The food was great and the staff was courteous. There is a small golf course next door. Some reviewers said the place is neglected. I disagree. It is a... More

Just returned from a weekend break at this hotel. It is a great shame that this hotel is being neglected. The standard of the rooms is poor and the carpets have seen better days. Goodness knows when the vacuum-cleaner attachment was used around the edges of the carpet. The main staircase was creaky and the carpet was threadbare . The... More

Stayed for one night in May. Our room was in the new building, was clean and adequately furnished. we got back yesterday after having a great stay at the Ballachulish Hotel. The room was a standard but was spacious clean well equiped. Our meals were good no complaints. The staff were friendly and efficient. The scenery is breathtaking. You will need to bring warm waterproof clothes and sturdy walking shoes.would recommend and would definately stay again.

The setting of this hotel is stunning and the drive through Glencoe almost makes it worth it, but not quite. The hotel looks great from the outside but the rooms are tired, the bathroom was very institutional.
