Lovely air conditioned room, Noisy ugly (broken) saloon style doors to bathroom were the only downside to an otherwise heavenly weekend break, gorgeous beach and enjoyed a glass of very good Rioja by the sea late one evening, short trip into Tarifa which has a fab nightlife and some excellent fish restaurants.

We loved the charm of this hotel right on the beach. It's location can't be beat. The bar area, where I spent much of my time e-mailing, drinking sangria, and watching the horse back riders on the beach, was especially nice. Dos Mares is a great hotel to stay at if you want a holiday on the beach. It can get, understandably, very busy in season but if you stay in a bungalow can still be quite peaceful. We stopped by for a meal, and glass of wine. All very good, great view, and lovely hotel. We did not stay the night but came to see the horses next door. They were also excellent and we would come back and spend the night. Also an easy drive away from Tarifia to get away.

One of the best in Tarifa. Very quiet in winter and the outside facilities are closed which is a shame because the weather was lovely when I was there. The restaurant has a small evening menu but for this area it is a good clean place to stay on the beach.
