This is a 1-star hotel, not a hotel worth more than 40 Euros / night. The pool is actually a small dugout puddle of water - not what is shown on the internet. The family left lunch with a mild case of food poisoning after a consuming a very odd burger of some sort.

The hotel reception smells bad, they tried to make it look good with a water feature but the water is stagnant and so it smells. The rooms are basic, there is so much noise you cannot sleep (the water pipes sound like a jet taking off), the balconies are dangeriously low and it is a rip off at €150 night...

the hotel is perfectly positioned being just 400 mtrs from the fantastic Valdevaqueros beach and 10 mins drive from Tarifa town.
It has a wonderful garden with charming pool, lots of chill out zones just to crash out and drift away to cool music gazing at the beautiful blue of the Atlantic ocean.
The accommodation may lack a little finesse...

Just come back from a two night stay at Hotel Brief Tarifa and felt they deserved a pretty good review. The location is good being on the main drag about 300m from the entry to the beach so you can walk it. The accommodation was fairly basic and the only reason I didn't give them five stars, because everything else...
