We stayed here for one night, but wish we had stayed longer. Margaret and her husband were so warm and welcoming, and were so considerate with our two young children, one of whom is diabetic. As soon as we got there, even though it was quite late, Margaret immediately made us all something to eat and drink. It really was... More

Greeted as if we were old friends by Margaret who had the kettle on when we walked in the door. After a stressful morning of driving from the North and trying not to be late for mass at the cathedral, it was so nice to be able to relax and take a deep breathe. Margaret, who was not feeling well... More

We were a little early into town and called up to the Novarra House to see if we could get checked in and rest up some from our trip. Margaret told us to get ourselves over there and she would have a cuppa ready for us when we arrived. It was like visiting family. Margaret and Richie were so welcoming... More

We only spend one night at Novara House but if it would have been possible, we would like to have stayed longer. We were welcomed with so much friendliness and good humour it was like we were long lost friends. Furthermore the quality of the room bed and not to forget the food was great. I can recommend Margarets and... More

Bed and breakfast accomodation in Mullingar Novara house is a pleasant post to spend the night for visitors, both foreign and domestic. Located a walking distance from the town centre up the main road, it offers a beautiful view on Mullingar and its surroundings, esspecially at sunsets. The owners are kind and understandable to travellers needs and their pouch. The... More

My mother, cousin and I visted from the U.S. and stayed in Mullingar 3 days last fall doing genealogy research, meeting the rellies I'd recently found. Margaret and Ritchie welcomed us into their home like they we were their rellies. They watched TV with us at night and couldn't wait to hear about our day. They helped make the trip... More

We were on a roadtrip along the westcoast and on our way back to DUB we had a peaceful night and an awesome breakfast at this place. The plan was to stay in a Hostel and cook on our own but the packpacker closed business 3 years ago...anyway, usually a B&B doesn't come with a kitchen but we could use... More

Novara House is a great place to stay. Margaret welcomed us, showed us around, made us a cuppa. Truly, we felt like we were not visitors but family. The rooms were spotless and contained all we needed. Breakfast was lovely, and yes, more chatting! Margaret had advice and information at her fingertips(and this advice led us to a marvellous meal... Richard and, especially, Margaret Deane halp make Novara House the ideal place to stay in the Mullingar area. The bedroom was fine, well equipped, and comfortable. The breakfast was first rate. We arrived a little later then expected, and a bit pressed for time to meet newly-found Irish relatives, and Margaret went out of her way to make us feel... More
