Ok so where do I start.... I am in the hotel as I write this and it's my second time here. My better half is in Ballinasloe Hospital after having our son on the 3rd Jan 2012. After looking online I came across 3 hotels in the area. Out of the three Gullanes was priced in the middle. One was... More

I stayed at this hotel in October with a large group of people for a motor sport event. The management and staff could not have been more helpful and accomodating. Our evening meal was superb and everyone enjoyed their steaks! The rooms were pleasant, clean and comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel all our group of... More

We stayed here for 6 days in mid September on our first ever trip to Ireland and chose Ballinasloe as I have family there that I have never met. Having had promt and very helpful communications with them via email before going over I was very excited about going over there. Gullanes Hotel did not dissappoint. After an early flight... More

My clasmates and i used gullanes hotel for our debs. The managment of the hotel were very helpful and would go out of there way to help youin anyway they could. BUT.. The rooms were very small and poorly laid out.i was a victim of an uncontrolable shower who made it its duty to cause you pain. either boiling water... More

First I want to personally thank the owners and the lovely receptionist (I hate that we did not get her name!) for being so kind and friendly! This is a wonderful hotel that has been nicely modernized. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. After a long day in the car, and a fruitless search for accommodation, Gullane's fed... More

This hotel is located in the middle of Ballinasloe and is perfect location for this area. I had to wait for 10 minutes for a staff member to come to reception just to check in. The room was quite small for two people. The nightclub run by the hotel kept us awake until quite late. People that attended the nightclub... More

Four years ago I ended up in the middle of Ballinasloe around 23:15 having almost given up on finding any acceptable accommodation in the area. It was pouring with rain (surprise, surprise) and I called into this typical irish pub in the hope someone could point me in the right direction. I was told they had some accommodation at 50... More

Stayed in Gullanes with a party of 18 family and friends recently. Got a very good deal for 2 nights bed and breakfast and 1 evening meal. We arrived early and were checked in by very pleasant receptionist. As we were waiting for rest of our party to arrive we had sandwiches and baquettes in the bar area. No complaints... More

This was our first trip to Ireland, and we stayed here on our first three days in the country. We went as a large (8) family group. The photos on their web site are far better than the actual appearance, although it was clean and neat enough. On our first night, which was a Monday, after discovering that all of... More
