Stayed only one night, but it was great. We were up that way to visit the magnificent cliffs..Very nice rooms and excellent service, but get there early in the summer as there are not much of anything else in town on this scale.. More

We chose here for a spot of lunch , the views are excelent and the building itself is very well presented, the food was lovely and well priced, however the manners of a couple of the staff left a lot to be desired, the older gent behind the bar in particualr was rather unfriendly. By contrast the girl who took... More

Stayed in the Tara for one night B&B. After a long drive from Dublin on a cold night it was great to receive such a warm welcome. Room was lovely and warm, beds very comfortable and powerful shower. Also had a beautiful balcony you could use (if weather was better!!). Had dinner in the bar and could not fault the... More

While on a business trip to Killybegs a colleague and I popped in here on chance for our lunch. Walking through the bar to a little side room we found a classic Irish lunchtime carvery, which we then took through to the bar to eat. The food all looked appetising and was described enthusiastically with great detail. There was a... More

Stayed for two nights in the Tara hote,l on arrival staff very friendly. dinner was excellent and great value and breakfast both mornings was very nice, our room was very small but spotless, our only complaint was that the noise from the boats in the harbour at night made it very difficult to sleep. Stayed at the Tara for three nights at the start of August '11 for a family reunion. the room was great and we had a nice view over the harbour (though the industrial-size trawlers aren't exactly the most picturesque!). We had dinner for almost 100 people and the reception staff, especially Laura, Grainne & Karen, were really great in sorting... More

We stayed at the Tara for a week, and thoroughly loved our stay. The room was spacious and well appointed, with a desk and chair, and also a table and 2 chairs. Good wardrobe space. The bathroom was of a good size, and all was spotlessly clean . We had a front facing room and the view of the harbor... More

Myself & my husband dinned in this hotel. We like to travel & end up somewhere & then book in somewhere instead of planing ahead. We did not stay in this hotel as we were told there were no rooms available on sat 9th July 11. We did however have a meal as it was 8.45pm and we had not... More
