I was very concerned after reading the reviews. We had already booked and there was no going back. We were pleased to find the 2br unit very large, spacious and updated. The decor was modern, including granite counters, large tub (jets did not work), & rain style shower. Two of the three tv's were older tube style, but they were... More

Okay, so the place is renovating all the units but there are way too many negatives. We have NEVER been treated so poorly in all our years of travel no matter where it has been. First, the management does NOT have a clue what customer service is. The resort use to be a condo complex that has been converted to... More

I had high hopes of a nice stay with our family. The manager was kind enough to upgrade us to 2 -2bdrm units instead of a 3 bdrm which worked great for our large family. Both units were nice and had most anything we could need. All the support staff was great from the people at the check in desk to... More

The property is nothing like the pictures. The unit we checked into probably had not been used in some time, as there was dust on all surfaces and carpet very old dirty. Had to call maint on 2 separate occasions for a washing machine that over flowed and flooded the garge in addition to a garge door that would close.... More

I've read the reviews here and was concerned about our stay at this place. I think that there are valid points in most of the reviews about the condition of the resort. It could use an upgrade. The carpet in our unit did need to be replaced. Kitchen utensils could be increased. However, I've travelled enough over the past 40... More

This was our first time staying at the Desert Arroyo and found it to be perfect to our needs, despite our hesitation because of previous reviews. The kitchen and restroom were fully stocked and clean. Our only issue we had were the stray hairs on the comforter... But even then that is minor. The apartment looks to have been recently... More

Checked in last night late. Blood on pillow case, hair in bed, filthy carpets, used dental floss on kitchen floor, need I go on. Decided to check out a 830 am. Hotel would only refund two nights of a four night reservation. I didn't care left at found new resort to stay in. The only thing the resort has going for... More

My family has stayed at Desert Arroyo three years in a row, always in Feb. or March. Unfortunately we have noticed a decline in service and the state of the property each time. Pros - The only real pro is that hiking on South Mountain is right outside your door. Restaurants and shopping nearby. You really do need a car... More

Location is convenient to airport, shopping, Cactus League parks AND South Mountain Preserve. Fantastic hiking right outside the door. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our unit was very nice and well appointed.

We are members of Raintree Resorts which owns this property. Our trip was primarily to attend the Rock, Gem and Mineral shows in Tucson (yes it's over 100 mile drive!), but we also wanted to see the Grand Canyon and enjoy the Phoenix area. Our unit was in the bldg closest to check in, main level, no garage - but... More
