Great customer service at guest services desk, amazing location right next to "el gallo blanco" mexican southwestern restaurant. I have stayed here several times for location convenience but is certainly overpriced (approx $30 resort fee and park your owney) Ipod radio on rooms don't work, LOUD pool music, non guests hotel people using the hotel pool, extremely overcrowd pool, management... Thank you very much for your review... I am glad that you were extremely happy with our staff and restaurant, and I wanted to take time to respond to your other concerns on your review... * The 'resort fee' is not $30, it's a $20 hotel service fee, but the best thing is that it includes parking (up to $55/night... Would not hesitate to stay here again. Super clean. Free snacks and 2 bottles of water in room, which are calculated into to cost of the room, of course, but the room was a great value at $89 + tax. Modern furnishings. Crisp and clean linens. Two fluffy cotton bathrobes. Room refrigerator, coffee machine, iron & ironing board. Hair dryer.... More

Stayed here with our whole family, what a great place. We travel a lot as a family and we always try to stay away from big chain Hotels so I always look for unique Boutique Hotels, and the Clarendon really was a winner. Cant remember when I stayed in a place where I did not have at least one little... More

The Clarendon was unique, in mostly good ways. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something different. But it wasn't my vibe. Maybe I should stick to the "cookie cutter" chain hotels. Sound carries in this hotel. Just walking down the hall, I could overhear conversation taking place in private rooms with the doors shut. The... More

I stayed here in October. Yeah.. a while ago. And I just can’t seem to forget about this hotel. I live in Tucson AZ and work for a big hotel company. I came to Phoenix for a concert and my friend quickly made the reservations. Me, working for a giant hotel company I was concerned about staying at a hotel... More

At check-in we were greeted by a friendly front desk staff. Check-in was easy and fast with no surprises. When we walked up to our room, it wasn't what we reserved. We reserved a king bed junior suite, but received two queen beds. This is my biggest pet peeve with hotels. We walked back down with our suitcases and let... More

This is truly a unique property-definitely not a cookie cutter chain hotel. Great experience-front desks offers you snacks and bottled water upon check-in or anytime! Rooms are fun funky-with great comfortable bed, honor bar, docking station, free Wifi. Pool beautiful and very inviting. Great location to down town Phoenix. I am a baby-boomer-young at heart and although the crowd was... More

Okay, so think funky, bohemian, young and friendly. If you come to this hotel comparing it to other hotels or chains you are missing the point. It’s like a really cool friend decided to open a hotel and you and your friends descended upon the pool and bar for the weekend. The crowd is primarily young (at least at heart... More

First, my family arrived at 2:45 to check in (checking time is listed as 3pm). We were told that there were no rooms available. We did not get a room until almost 5pm. This was after a long day of travel, so we did not start off our stay happy with the service. But it only got worse from there.... More

I had a conference in Phoenix last month and we decided to stay at the Clarendon rather than at one of the big chains downtown. What a great decision. The conference was only 3 days, but we added a few days before and a few days after so that we were at the Clarendon for a full week. It was... More
