This place is so nice for a weekend getaway. We just wished we had more time to enjoy the pool area. It is indoors and there is a outdoor patio to sit and relax. It closes at 9p.m.!!! That is too early for adults. The casino has a bar and restaurant, but no outside seating or patio areas. I think... More

My husband, our two young boys, and myself stayed here for one night. I looked at all of the hotels in Payson, and really liked the amenities this hotel provided. I liked that the room was a suite, that there were good restaurants inside the hotel, and that my husband could enjoy the evening at the tables. When walking in,... More

As a non-smoker, I wondered how it would be to stay in a casino hotel, where I stayed as part of an event. While there were many smokers in the casino during the evenings, they must have spent a fortune on their air filtration system because there was no trace of smoke or even the scent of cigarettes in my... I stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised by the room and the staff. The room was very clean and spacious, with a separate living area. Although the casino, itself, was smokey-- the rooms are fresh smelling without any odors at all. I asked the front desk for a couple of extras to be delivered to my room before... More

We were travelling late into the evening after being held up on a freeway for a few hours. We decided to stay in Payson and were pleasantly surprised by the two room suites--which I believe are their standard rooms. Very nice sized rooms and friendly staff at the hotel and casino. Restaurant servers were great, gave good suggestions for food... More

We had two rooms for our extended family with children over the Thanksgiving holiday. The rooms were nicely appointed. I agree with the previous reviewer who thought that the rooms should be flip-flopped with the living room having the benefit of the large windows while the bedroom was on the reverse end of the suite. We all enjoy reading and... More

If you want to stay the night in Payson, there are a handful of chain motels in the the $60 to $90 range- all basic and forgettable. Head and shoulders above them all is the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino. Granted, the rates are higher, but you do get what you pay for. It's really a small, boutique-style hotel with about... More

We were there for 4days with a players package. Reasonable room rate, plus 20-40 dollars worth of playing coupons each night, and great discounts on food and drinks. Food in restaurant is good, but nothing to write home about. Plus, breakfast coupons too.!

The security here is over the top. The head guy on the night we stayed was on a complete power trip and was very rude to several people in my group threatening to kick them completely out of the hotel. If you are there to have a good time you are in the wrong hotel. If you laugh and talk... More

I go to Payson twice a year for the rodeo events held there. Though we do not stay at the Casino hotel I do spend quiet hours in the casino playing through the unhurried mornings. This year we decided to try the Cedar Ridge resturant in the casino for dinner for a change from the usual chain places. We often eat... More
