A most charming fully restored old Spanish style house welcomes you with bright colors and warm hospitality. Rooms are comfortable, clean and appealing. The garden and patio made great places to meet other travelers or read, relax and soak up the good life. Breakfasts are delicious and beautifully served. Thanks for a great stay.

We spent two nights here, on a birding trip to the area. The gardens and patio are great, and the owner went out of her way to accomodate our early-morning departures, setting breakfast earlier than usual one day, and providing us with a delicious "takeaway" on the morning we needed to get out early to (of course!) go birding. As... More

Stayed at Duquesne House -what a wonderful find!! Decor in room really well done, with lots of attention to detail and quality- just charming!! Very clean as well. And the garden/patio is just fabulous, with its bird and hummingbird feeders as well as all the flowers and cactus. Wonderful place to sit in the early morning and dusk, listening to... More

We arrived early to the hotel and had to wait until mid afternoon before we could get in. No problem we drove around the area took in some of the beautiful Patagonia sights and then returned to get our room. Upon check in we were advised by a very nice gentleman that breakfast the following morning was not available because... More

What a perfect spot! Two friends planning on spending a weekend hiking and birding around Patagonia happened upon this treasure while perusing the web for a place to stay. Cozy, homey, with a lovely garden (perfect for a pre-dinner glass of wine), this retreat suited us beyond words. Nancy and Ralph make you feel at home. The breakfast is a... More

This is such a charming place. It has been decorated in an artistic, delightful latin american style with great attention to detail. Each room is a large, comfortable suite. The back patio area is spacious and the landscaping is lush and beautiful with many private seating areas. The breakfast is beautifully presented and is as carefully prepared and flavorful as... We really enjoy uniquely good experiences, like Duquesne House. The combination living/dining/kitchen area is a beautiful blend of old stained wood ceilings; new tile countertops with matching light green stained, tall kitchen cabinets; and eclectic, mostly mexican artwork and decorations. Our bedroom was comfortable and also uniquely designed and decorated. Breakfast was a gourmet treat, complete with edible flowers! The... More

Recently, the owner of Duquesne House phoned me to say she was sorry that our experience there 6 months ago had been a very negative one, and asked me if I would alter my review ("not happy making") or remove it. Tripadvisor does not permit the former and I am not sure I want to do the latter. However, her... More
