This is the perfect place to stay in Stellenbosch. We can only confirm all the other positive reviews and just like to add that we were so pleased how much we felt being welcomed as a family with a small child: our seven years old daughter even got her own small room annexed to our spacious wonderful self-catering room. You are made very welcome at Caledon Villa by Johan and the staff and the location is very close to the centre of Stellenbosch meaning that you can walk to the sights and restaurants. This was our second stay at Caledon Villa and will certainly not be our last.

Caledon Villa was our first stop after landing in SA, and a perfect introduction to the country. Clean but not very high room, pleasant breakfast, inviting but small pool area. Johan is on site, welcoming and offered good advice on vineyards to visit and their history.

We stayed here for one night. The Caledon Villa is a beautiful little guesthouse with an interesting history (which you can read about in the house). The house have a old touch with a lot of nice paintings and artefacts from the old owners still in the house. The rooms are large and have en suite bathrooms, minibar (full with... More

We stayed at the Caledon Villa for 2 nights as we had a Wedding in Stellenbosch. The room was very large and comfortable with a large double bed and a single bed. There was a bath and separate shower in the bathroom and a good sized flat screen tv with 5 or 6 channels. The pool was great and the... More

Very quiet place, nice relaxing garden, unique desert roof garden, super breakfest and finally Johan's tipps how to organize our further trip were really helpful. You feel like a special guest there. Save parking, I highly recomend the place as a start point to wine trips.

We were thrilled to find that the entire house is a kind of museum! Each room is furnished with antique style furniture - we liked the old-fashioned atmosphere. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, they organized a wine tasting tour for us (Hop-on, Hop-off – highly recommended!). Johan, the owner, is especially helpful and gives... More

A very warm welcome in Stellenbosch. Nice people who are interested in their guests. Johan knows a lot of extras in and around Stellenbosch. Relaxing garden with pool. Very clean. Shops and restaurants within walking distance, what we very much appreciate. Save parking. Recommendable place. German spoken.
