We stayed here March 2011, and we couldn't have asked for a more friendly, comfortable, clean and secure B&B, in a wonderful setting. It's well within walking distance of local restaurants, but not too close so that you would notice. Its also in a good location for the attractions in the area such as the cango cave and ostrich farms... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights in what was a very nice and clean room with a great ensuite bathroom looking out onto a very nice garden. The breakfast was plentiful and served when requested and the hosts knew a lot about the restaurants of the area, both of which we visited and found to be very good recommendations.

I stayed here November 22, 2012 while driving through the Karoo on route 62. Really nice guesthouse, quiet and secure. Plenty of restaurants with late night hours within walking distance. Very friendly owners and a great breakfast. Miss the ostrich sausage!

Hosts are so nice, everything is furnished in good taste.Rooms  are so cute, quiet and comfortable, bed linen smells clean .But the most amazing feature was the breakfast. Fine porcelain, white tablecloth, homemade delicious jam. A little bit of "family", so far from home

We had not planned to stay here however the hotel we had booked into had no hot water and we were transferred across the street to Yamkela; a perfect small guest house. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and breakfasts were delicious. The owners were friendly and shared their local knowledge with us. They recommended a trip to Buffelsdrift... More

We were lucky enough to stay at Yamkela for two nights on our recent trip to South Africa - what a relaxed and welcoming experience we had! Una and Charl, the owners, were so helpful with information about Oudtshoorn, things to do and places to eat. In addition, they cooked a great breakfast (certainly amongst the best we had in... More

We really enjoyed our stay in Yamkela guesthouse. Upon arrival we received excellent explanations on the things to do around Oudtshoorn. This made is very easy and efficient to plan our day. Also breakfast comes with a surprise every morning. Rooms are spacious with good beds. Excellent value for money compared to others we have used.

My family and I stayed at yamkela guesthouse in June. What a treat ! Probably the best value for money in town !! The rooms are spacious and well appointed.
