The Knysna Hollow has everything you'll need for a few days in the area. stayed here 2 nights..upgraded to a chalet. got a lovely little cottage with a thatched roof. inside was lovely...log fire...huge bed...beautiful bathroom with a big bath and a shower.everything was perfect. also ate at the restaurant and again it was good food and wine at a reasonable price. would recommend anyone to stay here. the ordinary rooms were v good... After a disastrous first night at another lagoon lodge, we were booked into the Hollow - such a saving grace for a long planned 3 night getaway.The reception staff were very helpful - always with a smile.The waiter service exceptional (it is unusual to find properly trained waiters). My husband and I booked the hollow as part of our Garden Route trip but were both disappointed with the location (30 min walk from the lagoon) and that they couldn't give us a double room. Pity the garden rooms have only two single beds. Having some with double and some with two single beds would be more suited. Made sleeping uncomfortable at times. We had a double shower but only one of the showers worked. Was comfortable and pleasant otherwise. Nice setting.

A well placed hotel on the N2 just before Knysna. Situated in a well appointed estate with thatch cottages and two out door swimming pools.
