Stayed here for 2 nights. The hosts Guus and Lidy are very warm and welcome. They'll answer all your questions and if you need something arranged they will fix it for you. The accommodation was very clean and the breakfast was very good. We had two great days in Knysna. If we ever come back, we will go to Aestas... More

This is one of the few bed and breakfasts we found in easy walking distance of Knysna centre and the waterfront. Great central location with nice views of the heads. Clean, well kept rooms, pool and braai area. Very friendly and hospitable hosts. A pleasant stay, with two young children.

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 small children and could not have been made to feel more welcome. The family room had all the 'extras' that make such a difference when travelling with kids such as a microwave and fridge. The terraced garden contains a decent size pool and it leads down to the secure parking area.... More

The venue is close enough to town and other facilities. The rooms were really good and access easy, secure and care-free. Safe car parking really excellent. The hosts were very friendly and offer a laundry service. Excellent pool facility as well. What more can I say but an excellent place!

We arrived late in the afternoon and enjoyed the fact that the apartment was clean and fresh. However, after a long days drive the owner insisted we move our car- he request was politely ignored. We had heard about a place on the island (restaurant) that collects you and so we opted for this, and the owner showed his displeasure... More

We stayed for the 4th time in this B&B (5 nights). Aestas is a very good B&B, just behind the mainstreet. We stayed in the gardenroom. This is a very nice room, you have your own terras, just one step away from the garden and pool. Guus and Lidy are very nice people who do everything to make you feel... More

We stayed at Guus and Lidy already for 6 times or more and eyerytime it is like coming home. The warm and friendly welcome is amazing. The Guesthouse lies in the heart of Knysna(but not at all noisy) with a excellent view over the lagoon, a peaceful garden with pool, and nicely styled, clean rooms with fridge and enough space.Even if... We stayed at Aestas in 2006, 2008 and 2010. All times several days. And.....in october 2012 we are going again for another 5 nights! It's a great guesthouse, with very nice, friendly and helpfull (dutch)owners. You get good value for money. The rooms are clean and spacy (we had the garden room), good breakfast. Guus and Lidy are very helpfull... More

We stayed in a large room, with a large balcony and a small bathroom. The room had a fridge, a TV and WIFI (at a small extra fee). There is a pretty view over the bay and the B&B has a small pool in the garden. The hosts are very friendly and give very good advise on restaurants and what... More

If you are from The Netherlands you may like this place because of the dutch speaking owners. The service and facilities are average. Most annoying was the owner complaining immediately after his welcome about the high costs he has to make for all the services provided. Because of this we did not feel very welcome. Plus: - lodge has a... More
