It's an old mansion ( XIX ) very elegant and well refurbished in style with the architecture. Few cozy rooms some with terrace, a swimming pool and chaise longue to relax close to the water. The service it's excellent as food for breakfast. The location is strategic to visit the cool Garden district , looking at Table Moutain

Or should I say baie dankie. I returned to South Africa after just a few years with my wife, to do our honeymoon and show her my country. What a wonderful place to kick it all off, seeing my friends, and just relaxing in a boutique hotel in downtown Cape Town. I remember growing up near here, and if I... More

We stayed six nights at the Cape Cadogan and thought the hotel excellent. Our room was quirky and lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. THe breakfast were superb and really set us up for the day. Special mention to the staff who looked after us especially the receptionist who was so helpful after we had a little... More

A low-key but elegant Cape hotel. Bed was super comfy and the room understated but quite comfortable. Then only issue was the slight noise in the hallway near the reception desk which our room happened to be by. Still, as a light sleeper and early riser I didn't have any problem but you might not secure that room if you... More

An absoulutely delightful hotel in Cape Town , a beautiful elegant house where you feel like a guest in a friends home. The rooms are just lovely and the staff are fantastic. A wonderful courtyard with a small splashpool , sun chairs and lovely plants. The hotel is next to a trendy street with great bars and restaurants , 2... More

On a recent visit to South Africa we stayed at The Cape Cadogan on the advice of the travel company who organised our holiday. From the moment we were met at reception, until the time we left, 5 days later, we were pleased at how welcoming the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we were always... More

We got a great first impression from the welcoming staff and the elegantly furnished entrance lobby and lounge. Our bedroom, reached via the small courtyard, was comfortable, clean and spacious with all the usual amenities but the fixtures and fittings were slightly shabby and in need of maintenance. An ample breakfast was served in a pleasant, airy dining room, but... More

We only had 3 days in Cape Town, and one of them we had to take respite from both the intensity of the active 10 days up until that point and the incredible rains that turned the gutters to raging torrents. - Cape Cadogan is blessed with warm and welcoming staff, Nicole was our introduction and we had the same... We chose this hotel after advice from our travel agent who had stayed in the adjacent apartments. This is a stylish and tastefully decorated boutique hotel and has a more personal feel than some of those larger hotels down on the Waterfront. Although a bit out of town taxis are cheap and the hotel does provide a shuttle bus at... More

On our previous trip to Cape Town, we stayed at a very lovely B&B in the suburbs. This time, we asked our travel agent to suggest a location closer to the city centre and waterfront. She recommended two large hotels -- plus the Cape Cadogan. Thankfully, we made the right choice! Our 4-day stay at the Cape Cadogan turned out... More
