The kruger is a fantastic place to visit. Nowhere better to see the bush. The entry fees are low, making it a cheap holiday location. The lower sabie restcamp is well located. However the service and food quality were poor. A good coat of paint, Some basic hospitality training and some better cooking could easily rectify this. The park has... More

Great rest camp! GREAT LOCATION, i.e. junction of multiple drives! I mean, GREAT!!! You can do your own safaris in your vehicle! My rec to you - skip their organized tours in the morning and afternoon. But do the sunset tour as it is not allowed for you to go out and about by yourself. Please remember that the temperature... I knew it would be basic, and it was very, very, basic indeed... and quite dilapidated. A perfect place if you have to wake up very early for the morning game drive! There is a restaurant with a view, unfortunately with bad food & bad service. A good point would be the friendly and helpful staff at reception.

Stayed 5 nights in a river facing luxury tent. Hippos, croc's,buffalo, elephant, waterbuck, baboon all viewed from out tent deck. Accommodation was clean and comfortable , with views like we had and price we paid for accommodation it was just stunning. Eye watering sunrises and sunsets only Africa can deliver night after night. Only complaint , inconsiderate neighbours. Abundance of animal seen every day,... More

Stayed in Lower Sabie Rest Camp for two nights the end of March 2013 and unless they have no availability on their 3U bungalows I always stay there for a couple of nights. We know that when one stays at the Kruger National Park rest camps will not be getting any kind of luxury, but this is ridiculous. The room... More

I stayed here over and over again. Since the first time, 10 years ago, it is slowly but surely getting worse. The place itself is nice, the rooms are quite fine too, the views are great. All in all, this could be one of the loveliest places in the world. But if you think, that service quality is an important... More

We stayed in one of the bungalows along the river...we checked in with no problems got to our bungalow with no issues. The kitchenette was outside and it has all the basic amenities that you will need for cooking, eating and enjoying whatever you cook.(pots, pans cooking spoons, dishware, glassware etc) and clean. Our bathroom had the strangest order, we chalked... More

I stayed in one of the safari tents with a view over the river. Book carefully as we didn't really have a view as the bush had grown closed to obscure most of the view. The tents are great and an excellent experience for youngsters. They are clean and well serviced. There are a few niggles here and there that... More

We stayed in a perimeter safari tent (#16) and it was really the location that made the experience. We were overlooking the river and fell asleep listening to the hippos. The tent was good value, basic accommodation, but could use updating (fresh paint, new fixtures, etc.). Would be ideal for self-catering / braai (porch is fully equipped).

Wonderful location overlooking the river. Our daughter walked right into the clear glass sliding door of our bungalow and sustained a badly bleeding and swollen lip. With reception already closed at that time (7:30) we reported it to the restaurant personnel and asked for some first aid. Nothing arrived. No follow up with us, nothing. We also asked if we... More
