We spent 2 nights in 2 rooms--Kudu and Lion Suites. Beautifully decorated, nice braii and pool area, quiet, comfortable beds, ac, great service and close to game parks. The owners were very nice and accommodating including packing us a great picnic breakfast and delivering it at 5:30 am so we could get to the game parks early. A lovely retreat,... More

Owners were very friendly and the service was great. They very flexible on arrival time, breakfast time, the owner even lent us his binoculars for wild animal viewing. The rooms were very nice and we took advantage of the braii and pool. My wife and I shared the honeymoon suite, which is huge with a very nice shower, and my... More

We arrived quite late after a 2 hours delay of our flight to Richards Bay (which apparently happens quite frequently) and having had a rough e-mail conversation with the owner for an error in the deposit (they took the whole price rather than 50% as indicated on booking.com) I was not expecting much, instead I was really positively surprised by... We stayed here 2 nights and I was not really happe about it. We had the Cheetah room, which should be 35 m2, but an impossible bathtub and a lot of unnescesary furniture (e.g. lots of cusions) took up a lot of space. The room was very dark (black painted walls) and it was not possible to sit and read... More

We stayed in the Kudu suite and it was very spacious! A huge bed, a separate area with the frigde and one of the biggest and nicest bathrooms I have ever seen. There are two outside baai area's (the SPAR supermarket is just around the corner and has everything you need for a braai). The owners are very friendly and... More

My husband and I stayed in this Lodge for one night. We must have had a different room to everyone elses, ours was dark and gloomy and the bathroom was in dire need of updating. There were stains on the bed linen. When we tried to secure the door the lock was broken, this in turn made me feel very... More

Perfect location, just 20 mins from the game reserve. The rooms at Ama Zulu are tastefully decorated in a modern African style, beds are comfortable, bathroom is enormous and breakfast scrumptious. We felt very welcome and at home with Llewelyn and Maralize. Would definitely recommend!

Great location for visiting the Hluhluwe reserve, just 15 minutes drive. We got the biggest room (red, black and white decor) and it was really lovely and comfortable, AC, TV, fridge, kettle, etc. The bathroom was huge and also really lovely with both a tub and shower. Only minus for the room was that there was no door to the... More

Nice room, nice amenities, good location. Housekeeper moved our clothes out of our sight. We forgot them and asked the landlady to send them to us,(Europe) which of course we would pay for. She tried to charge us for a damaged quilt which we were definitely not responsible for. Finally she agreed on sending the clothes, we transfered the money... More
