InterContinental The Palace at Port Ghalib is as close to perfect a hotel experience as I believe I'll ever find. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the top management, holding candles and smiling as we emerged from the car (the hotel is a 10-min drive from the airport), we were instantly transported to a lifestyle of tranquility... One week ,is far to short, at this wonderful hotel with magnificent architecture and decorations. Both internal and external areas has been created in a fantastic tasteful way. We have have been to many locations, but never received such a warmhearted service and caring from the staff. They were all extremely nice and friendly. A special thank to Nevina Gobran... More

We stayed at the hotel last December and had a great time. The hotel was very quiet. This possibly was due to the trouble in Cairo, but we felt it was a secure place to stay. We really liked the architecture of the hotel; It had a beautuful landscape, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room was large, tidy,... More

A quick two night stay for business reasons. Hotel staff met me at the airport (at a cost) and took me for checkin. Staff were friendly and all went well. Rooms are big and clean, no prblems there. Price included bed and breakfast HOWEVER everything thereafterhas a significant cost, wi-fi, printing, car hire, packd lunch etc. I have no problems... More

we just returned from a great 2 week holiday in this beautifull hotel. The design of the hotel is impressive with attention for detail, my daughter would have taken the light fittings home if she could. The rooms are spacious, excellent air conditionning, perfect high speed internet connection (charge in room but free in the bar), good firm mattresses, full... More

The hotel itself looks like a palace, it is really impressive, the rooms are big and comfortable, we also had a sea view and beach view which we enjoyed. Service: The service at this hotel is 6 stars! I’ve never experienced anything like this. All the staff we encountered was super helpful and always with a smile. Food and restaurants:... More

Lots of great things about this hotel, but please read on regarding some serious cons. Housekeeping random. Some nights we got water, other nights we had to ask. Bath plug broken, and we repeatedly asked for it to be fixed (even going so far as to contact Thomson for help, but still nothing done). On the 4th attempt it was... More

Stayed here during the recent Eid break haven flown from Cairo. Well appointed rooms, clean and comfortable. The staff is attentive and willing to solve any problem. A lot more can be done with the dinner options- the menu is quite limited for a buffet style dinner and the "entertainment" is more suitable for a bar rather than a restaurant (Just drop the singer or select a better music background to...
