Bethsaida is beautiful and the perfect place to relax - perfect beach and swimming pools. Delicious Indian food eaten by candlelight in beautiful gardens overlooking the sea. I can really recommend Betsaida Hermitage. Great service, staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean, good food, clean big and nice pool plus the quite empty beach very close by. A very beautiful place. A peaceful contrast to the a bit more rough "reality" outside the gate. Transport is needed though to reach any shops or the beach at Kovalam town

The very beautiful room had no AC nor safety deposit. Though, the hotel facilities and staff were wonderful. Highly recommended hotel. Also, what might be good to know is that the resort is far from town, so a taxi (or rickshaw) is required to get anywhere!
