Great place. I have never experienced such hospitality - the owners and staff are great, as is their establishment. Great food (fresh seafood) and rooms are very comfortable and clean. The view was beautiful. Thank you so much for treating us like royalty!

this is a nice place to stay in ketchikan. We stayed here after our Waterfall Resort trip to adventure and explore the Ketchikan area. The rooms are nice and very clean with a very firm bed. The inn has a nice restaurant with a very nice menu, everything we ate was good.

I live in the bush, and always stay at the Narrows when in town. They have great service staff, clean rooms, and cart us all over town to get our supplies. When we come in to town on our way down to The States they take good care of us and or gear. We usually bring down a bunch of... More

They aim to please. The on-site owners and their staff are able to meet requests for flexibility, offer advice, arrange charter trips, etc. Our room was oceanside, with a balcony. It was quite small but comfortable and very clean. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate available in the office all day. Pastries, bagels, yogurt in the morning. It was thrilling and picturesque... More

We just returned from a 2 week trip to SE Alaska. We stayed at the Narrows Inn & Marina while in Ketchikan. Very comfortable rooms, nice cushy beds. The owners and staff were all wonderful, and made sure we were happy with our visit. It was very convenient to have the bar and restaurant on the property, and I will... More

Just checked out today (9-17-2012). The rooms are a bit small but it's ok since they're really only for sleeping. All the staff were so nice, super friendly and accommodating that I don't know why we would even consider staying elsewhere. Don, the owner, is a true Ketchikan gem. A really great guy. We'll definitely be back. And True Alaskan... More

We have just returned from our second visit to the Narrows Inn. We have stayed in the queen oceanview rooms and also in Suite B. The oceanview rooms are somewhat small, but the balcony and cleanliness of the rooms make it a good value. For those who want a more spacious and luxurious room, the suites would be a better... More

We stay here when on our way out of Ketchikan it is a good place for an overnight. The rooms are small but clean and have a good shower to get ready for traveling. Coffee, complimentary breakfast, good deal that way. max people per room is three with the double bed plus a single in the room. The best rooms... More

I was able to get a reservation here for the same day, so had no choice of rooms. the one i had was smallish, but perfectly functional. My room faced the reception building (mine was the building furthest from the water), so i was awakened early every morning by their shuttle van backing up (beep beep beep) and occasionally conversations... We stayed in the Contemporary Suite (Suite A), a corner room just above the restaurant. Large, clean, bright room with lots of windows from which we enjoyed watching the float planes and many ships passing. Large table with seating for 6. Large wall mounted flat screen TV. Comfy couch. The bathroom was huge. The furnishings were very nice (large thick... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Narrows Inn is the only year round hotel located on the water. We have panoramic views from our restaurant and lounge. We have an assortment of rooms ranging from our garden view, to ocean view, and three themed suites. Our shuttle bus is on demand for trips to town and the airport ferry. This is where "the bridge to nowhere" was supposed to be built, thus you must take a ferry from the island where the airplanes land to our island where the town is located. We will pick you up and take you to the hotel located 1 mile north of the airport ferry, making it extremely easy access coming to and from the airport. Our restaurant is known for its excellent food, especially the cedar planked salmon and halibut. ... more   less
