“Best western makes things right”

A shout out to Walt who made things right on a cold misty night in Ketchikan. Thanks from a grateful traveler with a mixed up reservation. Great location and a shuttle from the airport ferry drop saves a long walk or a taxi fare.

“Generous large rooms....”

Captivating service from front desk to restaurant to room service staff. Central location, ample parking, well lite and safe. Very clean. Alcohol drink prices on the high side. One morning at 6AM in the stair well, one couple was interrupted and the women said to the man "I still want my twenty dollars."

“Home away from home”

The Landing is a great value in beautiful Ketchikan. Staff are warm and genuine. Centrally located, close to grocery and ferry. Free shuttle can take you places if you didn't a car. All in all, this is a wonderful place, a "home away from home".

Its tough enough with the day in and day out stress when you have to leave home for work. Its nice to have a place thats a close comfort to home with friendly people and staff to take the edge off the stress..

Fabulous room with fireplace, wonderful King bed and wrap around windows, however as it faces the main road it was noisy from about 5am on, we remembered to shut the windows the second night which helped. The rooms closest to the front desk can be smoky, or noisy due to early morning garbage collection, so avoid those.
